Sofia parked her BMW in the house garage and got out of the car after collecting her things. She ran towards the main door in her three-inch heels. Her Baba hates when her daughter makes him wait for which she gets ranting if she does not come up with the proper reason she was still his choti shahzadi his jigar ka tukda to whom he loves a lot. Climbing the staircase she pressed the bell button and waited for the doors to open.
A fifty years old lady with a smiling face opened the door making Sofia release her breath in relief "aap theek haina Bi Jaan?" Sofia asked her Bi Jaan, worried about her health she for sure love her family way too much and maybe that way Bi Jaan can lend her some information about this oh-so mysterious family his father had called her for.
Bi Jaan took her things and said "hum theek hain. Aap jaaye aapke baba aapka intezaar kar rahe hain" she ushered her to go towards the living room where her father was waiting for her.
"Kon aaye hue hain ghar par?" she asked her Bi Jaan innocently while wearing the house slipper and placing her heels back on the shoe rack.
"Pata chal jayega woh toh aapko jab aap milengi unse. Ab jaldi kariye," her Bi Jaan said making her sigh in defeat.
Bi Jaan was the carer taker of Noor Villa she was appointed by Noor, Sofia's mother when they needed a carer taker for their huge villa. Meher Kazi aka Bi Jaan had the entire villa under her control no maids were allowed to move a thing without her permission. After Noor's death, Sofia was taken care of by her Bi Jaan her mother had made Sofia call Meher has her Bi Jaan she was elder to be called by her name. Bi Jaan and Sofia's bond got stronger day by day and they never felt at peace if they didn't saw each other face first thing in the morning.
"Assalamualaikum" Sofia greeted as she entered the living room and listening to her voice her baba beamed at her like a four-year-old kid who had just been given his favourite candy.
"Walaikum Assalam" come her baba's response and two other voices which she didn't recognize. Turning towards the voice she saw two beautiful ladies sitting opposite her baba to whom she didn't saw while entering the living room. She was too much busy thinking about her Baba to even notice someone else's presence.
The one looked in early fifties same as her Bi Jaan's age yet she didn't look of her age from anywhere she was looking absolutely stunning in her pastel pink designer salwar kameez with dupatta which was loosely draped around her head her big hazel-green eyes smouldering with black kohl, her pink lips stretching in a big smile which made Sofia return the smile. Her eyes then moved to the lady sitting next to her who looked in her twenties wearing a white short kurta with light blue fitted jeans and a scarf draped around her neck, her coal as black hair was tied in a tight ponytail which made Sofia feel bad for her hair roots that must be hurtful and when she looked at her identical hazel-green eyes she saw her already checking Sofia out from head to toe making Sofia avert her eyes from her. Sofia felt embarrassed by her behaviour of checking people out she had never done such a thing before but these beautiful ladies made her do otherwise.
Looking at Sofia's confused face her father chuckled "sit I will let all your confusion clear" he patted the sofa asking her to sit next to him.
Listening to her father Sofia took her seat next to her father and waited for him to speak.
"So this is Malakeh Abidi and that young lady is Asmara Abidi" Asmara smiled at Zulfiqar but Malakeh smiles were only towards Sofia she had an adoration in her eyes as soon her eyes landed on Sofia.
"Malakeh bhabhi was your mom's college time best friend they were like those chaddi badi friends," her father said making three of the ladies laugh.
"Bhai aap aaj bhi hume yehi naam se bulate hain," Malakeh said making Zulfiqar laugh.
"Of course, you both use to get annoyed by this name" Malakeh smiled remembering her days with Noor. Both the best friends had decided to make their husbands friends with each other which they were successful in. There wasn't a day that Noor and Malakeh didn't spend without each other which ultimately made their husbands bonding as strong as their own until the Abidi couple left for Boston.
