People go through different types of tragedy in their day-to-day lives. It's an assessment one must go through whether or not it shatters their world or brings it upside down.

But when someone's life shatters into pieces no noise is allowed to be made. Cries and screams are to be suppressed even if that's all one wants to do.

"The Kamani house is dark, Ruhana Bi. There is no celebration in there, in fact, no breathing human being is to be seen inside the house. Ruhana Bi, they tricked us."

Each word tilted Ruhana's world to a stop. "They tricked us" Rings in her ear like a broken record again and again and it did not stop. Never in a million years, she'd thought that such fate was written in their destiny. So cruel that it made her want to break the world into two for the hurt her daughter was feeling right now right in front of her and she could do nothing to soothe the pain away from her. Nothing.

Fate and its cunning games of destroying what was supposed to be an everlasting joy ended up in hurt and cries. As if it wasn't the house of laughter and joy just some minutes ago now it felt like the house of someone's death because the pain was no less than that.

Destiny had to be cruel for her daughter to end up like this on a day when she was supposed to be happily married. She was now breaking to pieces at pain her heart couldn't take and the mother in her wanted to burn this world for her daughter's sake.

Pained cries leave Abeer's mouth as she clutches the blouses of her lengha in a fist.

It hurts, it hurts so much as if someone had laid her heart on the shattered piece of glass. The agonising pain cuts so deep that the blood comes out in the form of unstoppable painful tears and she doesn't know how to stop feeling that because there's no one to pick her bleeding heart anymore, no one to soothe the pain or to do the banded.

Because the one who was supposed to, never made it. Left her all alone for the misery broke her up entirely leaving her abandoned on the most happening day of her life on their wedding day.

A day that she dreamt of with big hopes to be together with someone she was madly in love with was snatched away so mercilessly that it suffocated her no less to death. What kind of fate is this? One moment her world was on the happiest and highest of the clouds one that she thought she would live there with the same buoyant and would never come down but that never happens, does it? Because of the way she has fallen from that cloud and broken into pieces that shattered completely no piece of her would ever be able to mend together to make her whole.

Abeer raises her eyes she knows who all are inside the room, the room she used to feel so unnecessarily big to her now feels so damn compact that her chest burns for air though she takes a shaking breath in it doesn’t feels enough. The heaviness slowly became the only thing she felt as she met her glistening eyes with her mother who was looking more aged than she was and asked her the only thing she wanted to know after trying to move the entire world and losing entirely “Nothing yet? No news? No whereabouts? Even from Eh-Ehtesham?” her voice breaks at taking his name the pain intensifies and it doubles when her mother barely sounded “No” leave from her mouth.

“Why!” She shouts “Why” Another sob leaves her mouth “Why Ammi why am I being punished like this? Where did I go wrong? What did I do?” She shouts yet again and her trembling legs cannot take her weight anymore but before she can fall her mother runs to her and holds her to her chest.

“No my love no” Ruhana held her daughter tight and hugged her to herself “You did no wrong my girl you could never” She soothingly patted her veil-covered head. No one absolutely no one in this world has the right to hurt her daughter or break her she would and will never be treated the way she had been by the one who she thought was her world but not anymore Ruhana can see anything can go through all the difficulties of the world but never, never be able to see her kids go through the hurt that breaks them entirely and that makes her heart bleed.
