-𝒶𝓃ℴ𝓃𝓎𝓂ℴ𝓊𝓈Something about the environment did not feel right. It was dark and dejected. The thunder raged with a rain storm hitting the roads mercilessly, the window clashed with a strong blow of wind and the tree swayed to the wild storm like a bad nightmare. The atmosphere occurred to be unpleasant and discomforting inside the huge house. Noor villa felt gloomy and distraught and something unsettling weighed on Sofia's chest as she looked around the house which always used to feel so vibrant but was now covered with a dark gloomy feeling.
There were people around with sombre and tired faces. Her eyes desperately looked around for the known face in the hopes of getting to know what was going on and she saw a woman that had her back to her. Sofia was sure it was Bi Jaan walking closer with her hurried steps she kneels to reach for her Bi Jaan but before she could reach she recognised the person sitting next to her. Malakeh. But what worried her more was her tear-streaked face. What was happening? Her heartbeats thumped faster with upbuilding fear.
Sofia put her trembling hand on Bi Jaan's shoulder. She felt like her heart would come out with the way it was beating faster to the fear of something inevitable and as soon as Bi Jaan turned around the fear in her heart grew when she saw her cry hard upon seeing her.
"Bi Jaan what's wrong?" Her heart crunches seeing her like that yet the confusion still lingered on her face.
But she got no answer. She could see her lips move but she could hear no voice. What was even happening? Why wasn't she able to hear anything? Nothing made sense until Bi Jaan pointed her trembling finger at something and Sofia turned her head to look in the direction Bi Jaan had pointed and her eyes went wide with horror. A lump appears in her throat, her hands feel sweaty, her breath turned shallow, she felt her feet go cold and her body quivered.
There was a body lying covered with a white cloth and a dreadful thought crossed her mind. That can not be possible, no this wasn't happening this was all wrong a bad dream it has to be a dream. She panicked as she crawled toward the body with shaky knees.
The lump in her throat grew further and her breathing came out slow, her heart thumping at an abnormal rate. She wished it to be a nightmare and nothing else as she raised her right hand that inched closer to reveal the body under the white cloth.
"Baba!"
Arsalan woke up with a jolt startled by the loud shriek he heard. He looked at his side to see Sofia sitting up, her back was to him and he could hear her hyperventilating.
Concerned he reached out to get her attention but she flinched as soon as he placed his hand on her shoulder. He frowned.
"Sofia?" He called out softly but she didn't respond. Something was off, he thought.
He went near her and he could visibly see her shaking so badly that it scared the hell out of him. Her head was hanging low and he could not see her face due to the hair that was curtaining around her face. He felt his heartbeat rising as he looked at her in that state he gulped with concern when he carefully put both his hands on her cheek to make her look at him and it ache him to see her like that.
"Sofia" he called out again because she looked lost as if he wasn't there at all "look at me Sofia come back" she felt cold against his skin, she looked pale and was still shaking and hyperventilating.
