"Why did you do that?!" Sofia asked, her voice stating anger.

After dropping the news to Sebastian the look of hurt he had vanished the second he composed himself and congratulated her for her marriage with a smile that didn't reach his eyes and left.

They didn't want to make headlines in the newspaper or on tv nor did they want to be watched 24/7 by the media invading their peace and privacy. That was the reason Sofia had agreed, not to let the world know only the close ones. But in all this, she forgot to let Sebastian know not even Ritu knows about her marriage with Arsalan, not that she cared she was sure her assistant won't even question her why? But Sebastian was a different scenario: he was friends with her, the only male friend she had was offended to be considered as not worthy to get the news about her marriage, a happy big step he wanted to be a part of.

"Did what?" Arsalan asked nonchalantly as he exited the elevator for a parking lot.

"Don't act like that Arsalan I am not in a mood to entertain you being innocent about it"

He halts midway and turns around to face her, head cocked slightly, his fine thick brows raised "act? Why would I act? You are the one acting as if someone snatched away your favourite candies getting all grumpy"

She ignored that and stepped forward nearing him with a look that said she wasn't up for nonsense "despite not wanting to let the world know about us, why did you make me introduce you as my husband?" She asked once when she was at a foot distance from him.

"Why not? I am not your husband?"

Sofia closed her eyes, annoyance growing all over her, her nostrils flared in anger. He was deliberately circling their arguments.

"What was the need for that? You could've introduced yourself to someone else, maybe a friend? you put me in a position that was too difficult for me"

"Yeah? You were in a difficult position for not letting the guy know about me? And a fucking friend seriously?"

"Stop Arsalan, stop twisting everything I am saying, just tell me why?!"

"Then why didn't you tell me about your business with Akash Dalwani?"

"What?"

"You heard me" he turns around and resumes his walking towards the parking lot making Sofia follow him hot on her heels.

Sofia scoffs "yeah now you want to know whom I do business with and with whom I don't why the sudden interest in Akash Dalwani though? Did he give you black eye or something?"

Arsalan turns abruptly causing her to stumble but he holds her in time arm gripping her small waist making her stand but not leaving her "no one, one dares to give me the black eye, not even that oldie" he snarls in a ridiculously dangerous way "I just don't like him" he lets her go "you need to make your distance with that oldie he's got some bad reputation"

"What bad reputation? I had checked his background, he is all clear" Sofia fixes her jacket in place while looking dead serious in his eyes.

"Not everything that's written or shown is true. Just maintain your distance from him that's all I say"

"What if I don't?"

Arsalan clenched his jaw, the nerves on his temple popping out at that outrageous mock of her glaring at her. He said: "do not push my nerves Sofia" he snarled again.

"Or what?"

"You might not like to see me getting on your nerves, it will be unbearable for you," he warned.

"You already are unbearable, what worse it could be," she said not once staring away from his steely grey eyes.

"Stay at distance from him that's all I am asking you"
