A room full of darkness with only a ray of light from the street outside was falling inside the room through the open windows and parted curtains. Eyes heavy with no sleep mind fuzzy with full of horrifying thoughts Sofia stared at the ceiling of her room. She couldn’t sleep properly maybe around three in the morning her eyes shot open due to a bad dream that she doesn’t remember anymore after praying her fajar namaz only a little bit of the glimpse but nothing more. She could still feel her heart heavy the way it did when she sat up breathing heavily clenching her nightshirt in her fist to stop the crazy beats of her thumping heart. She can only remember a girl who was sobbing so painfully everything around her felt so heartbreakingly gloomy that it shook Sofia out of her dream.

Letting out a heavy breath she sits up from her lying position again and takes her phone from the nightstand clicking on youtube she plays Surah Yaseen so that it would make her heart feel some ease.

She got out of her bed when her heartfelt in peace, she went straight towards her ensuite to begin her day. A day where she should feel ecstatic as a bride who’s gonna get married in ten hours was feeling the opposite of it. She doesn’t have an ounce of an idea why was she feeling that way maybe because of nervousness that has been eating her since yesterday night after the function, she even talked out with Shahana and her friends but Afnan dismissed it by saying it happens when the D-day slowly comes near and all you feel is overwhelming feelings that you can't do anything about it but embrace it because it will all be worth it.

Shaking her head she took her toothbrush and applied the toothpaste on it brushing her teeth she looked at herself in the mirror and thought about the dream that she has been thinking about half of the night came back running to her again. Why? Why would she dream something like that? Why would the dream be so heart-wrenching that she would jolt out of her sleep? Why on her wedding day? Was something bad to happen? Will the event won't go good? The more she thinks the more questions she comes up with and the answer she got was a blank white page.

Maybe a warm shower will make her overly negative thoughts put on hold and that’s what she did. She took a long bath to calm herself down.

Sofia knocked softly on her Baba Jaan's room door and upon hearing a come in she enters and smiles when she sees her father sitting on his bed with one of the photo albums in his hand while the others were scratted in front of him.

“Baba?”

Zulfiqar looked up to see his daughter walking towards him. He smiles sadly at her as he remembers how she had grown up by holding his hand to now getting married and starting a new life on her own. Oh, how does time flies by so fast?!

Sofia sits next to him on the bed looking at the albums that were scratted around which had their family pictures in them.

“Kya kar rahe hain aap? Aur itne busy ho gaye hain aap in do dino me k aap bhul hi gaye hain aapni beti ko” Sofia complained while removing the albums away so that she could lay her head on her father’s lap.

“Bilkul bhi nahi kaise bhul jaun aapne jigar k tukde ko?” Zulfiqar said with so full of emotions in his voice that it brought water to Sofia's eye.

“Toh aaye kyun nahi aap mere pas mera hal puchne?”

How can he say he wanted to but couldn’t? He wasn’t sure he would hold back the emotions he had been feeling for two days that he silently have been crying remembering his decade wife with whom he had dreamed of this day. If a father is as strong as not shedding tears for her daughter who’s gonna leave the house that too for, forever then guess what he isn't that strong.

“Aacha theek hai na boliye lekin mujhe bolne se rokhiyega nahi,” Sofia said after hearing no reply from her father. She could feel all the emotions he might be going through now it was hard for her too but she needed to have the last talk with her father before leaving this house for another.
