The morning brought new hopes, a new beginning, a drive to do something to achieve something good and Sofia was all set for it as she walked through her office hallway to her partner’s cabin for the most-awaited project that she and Shahana are going to sign with. Nakshatra Diamonds.

She was confident about the venture with the country’s fourth most famous diamond company willing to sign a contract of merging their products in a campaign with Sapphire and presenting them to the world. They were investing their luck in Sapphire and Sofia would not let them disappoint as Akash Dalwani the man himself came forward and asked for this merger.

Nakshatra Diamonds are the chance to grow and after this merger, Sofia was sure nothing was going to stop Sapphire from reaching its newest height.

And when she walked through her office hallways with confidence being her partner she walked like a woman in power proud and glorious ready to conquer the world.

“You fucking got no rights to come up with that stupid excuse after having part of the money and presenting no goods. You may have not taken us seriously Panchal but let me tell you I can show you what diluting feels like no one in this industry would take your fraud ass in and it’s not a threat it’s a warning from me to you or else prepare for the worst” Shahana abruptly cuts the call painting in anger.

She turns around to the voice and a broad smile stretches on her face “Sof!”

She launches on Sofia with a tight hug “God I'd missed you so much how have you been doing?”

Chuckling Sofia hugs her as tight “I missed you too and I am good”

“Let me look at you” Shahana pushed her arm length and watched Sofia who couldn’t stop laughing at her dramatic ass.

“You act like you haven’t seen me in decades”

“Well yes a week without you is like a decade without you and oh my god you look ravishing,” Shahana said with an approving nod.

"So are you, good that you aren't a guy"

“Or I would've ravished you” she winks as they both take a seat on a small sofa lounge of Shahana's cabin “I bet someone else would've been satisfied with his ravishing after all you are a woman to be worshipped”

Sofia looked away licking her lower lips with thoughts running in her head on what Shahana said. She knows it’s Shahana's way of getting the information out from her about her married life but what was she to say? How did it all go down? How the night of her wedding brought the biggest disaster in her life, miserably crushing her now and then, that she has to turn all her guards up to shield her poor heart from getting hurt or that she is proving herself to be worthy of a wife to be seen as a compatible life partner.

The reticence was clear to Shahana she could make out from her body posture, the uncertainty on her face gave away the doubt of something was not right “what’s going on?”

“Nothing,” Sofia said, clicking her tongue. “I am still adjusting.”

“Adjusting?”

"Yeah I mean everything is still new for me I am trying to get adjusted with everyone but Malakeh aunty is amazing so is Asmara they always make me feel like home other too I miss them all the house feel empty now"

“And what about Arsalan?” Shahana direct jumped on to the main question.

“What about him?” Sofia asked, her voice wavered at that. She had known the questions about her new relationship were to be asked but she didn’t know they would be asked this soon. She wasn't ready yet to answer them all.
