He's tearin' you apart
Every, every day
He's tearin' you apart
Oh, girl, what can you say?
Cause he's lovin', touchin' another
Now it's your turn girl to cry
Na na na na na na
Na na na na na
Na na na na na na
Na na na na na

Journey, Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'

They had just checked into Caesars Palace as a treat for their hard work on the tour  when Thor called Loki to tell him that the album had gone gold. Due to the holidays, they were all on different floors in the Forum Tower, and it was kind of nice to get some space from everybody. The rooms were bigger than they'd expected and quite a bit nicer than the Holiday Inns they usually stayed at. The band met for dinner and checked out the casino and nightlife. When they were moving on from Cleopatra's Barge, Ella called it a night. They had a performance the next night and she was really craving rest from the road and some time by herself. She wouldn't necessarily think that just driving around the country and performing here or there could be so taxing, but it was, and that was without the whole Bucky heartbreak. She craved solitude and good sleep. They had a day after the performance before the Barnes family flew in, three days over Christmas with nothing planned, then Becca was going on the bus with them for two tour dates before they got to go back to New York. The downtime was going to be great.

The next day, the temperature control broke in Bucky's room and he was switched to a room on Ella's floor, kitty-corner across the hall from her room. She wasn't too thrilled with this because she'd been hoping from a little time away from him to relax, but...  it wasn't like she could throw a fuss and have him moved.

The show went great, though. Their fans were very enthusiastic (and pretty loaded) and their numbers seemed to be growing. They were surprised after the show by Thor, who had decided to come out again, see how things were going, and deliver the news that interest in their first album had been caught by their new one and it had also gone gold. They hadn't gotten any Grammy nominations despite SSR's campaign, but the increased sales felt just as good. The label was having the gold records made and there would be a presentation ceremony during their New York break.

"We should get tattoos to commemorate it," Bucky said. "Little gold records."

"Sounds fun," Nat said.

"No," Thor said immediately. "You and Steve can get them, Bucky, but not the girls. And you guys keep them off your hands and necks, actually, anywhere you don't normally wear clothes. People think that tattoos are deviant or trashy and you can't afford that image right now." Ella rolled her eyes. She wasn't fond of needles and wouldn't have gotten one on her own, but now she did want one.

"That's bullshit," Nat muttered.

"Regardless." Thor stared her down and she looked away. He moved on to interrogate Loki and Sharon, and Ella heard Steve mutter that he'd talk to the concierge and get a recommendation for the tattoos and they decided to get them before Bucky's family came out. Strike while the iron was hot, and Bucky whispered something to Nat. The boys said goodnight and casually left the venue, Nat leaving after a careful five minutes, and Ella, grumpy about being left out,  told their management that she was going back to the hotel. Before she did, though, she asked the house security guys at the backdoor, who had a number of visible tattoos, where the best place was in Vegas.

"Ned's," one of them said immediately. "He runs Spider Tattoos. South of Flamingo on Las Vegas Boulevard, behind the CVS there."

"You ever gotten ink before?" the other asked. She shook her head. "Ok, so go there now, talk to Ned. Tell him Aaron Davis sent you. You need to get an idea of what you want, where you want it, and if it's a custom job, he'll need time to make the stencil."
