--My POV—

I didn’t feel good. I didn’t feel in the mood to go cliff diving. But it made Seth happy that I was going, so I guess I’ll just go for a little, then come straight back. We waited for Kayla to come back so we can leave. Everyone gave a piggyback ride to their own Imprintee. But Seth gave a piggyback ride to Kayla. Kole just slumped all the way back of the group, and Leah gave me a piggyback ride. When we finally got to the cliff, they all jumped off. Leah put me down before she jumped. I started to walk down to the beach and sit on the sand. Before I hit the sand, my legs were starting to give up, and I tripped on something, ready to fall flat on my face. But someone caught me.

??: Woah there. Be careful now, you don’t need something happening to your pretty face do we?

I looked up and saw a guy.

He was holding me up, as I tried to get balance on my legs.

Me: uh, thanks. And Hi.

??: hey yourself. I’m Evan. Evan Dantes.

Me: Kaya. Kaya Hunt. Nice to meet you. And thanks again for catching me.

Evan: no problem. It’s nice to meet you too. You live around here?

Me: yeah, couple houses up. Do you?

Evan: born and raised here. You go to school here?

Me: I graduated already. You?

Evan: senior at La Push High School.

Me: right, so you must know my brother.

Evan: and he is?

Me: Kw- Jacy. Jacy Hunt.

Evan: Of course! Kwoli! I love that guy. How old are you?

Me: 18.

Evan: ah, you must be like your brother. Advanced at a young age.

Me: yeah, I am. So what are you doing here?

Evan: Just doing my daily stroll on the beach. What about you?

Me: friends brought me here. Don’t feel like swimming, so I was on my way to sitting on the sand.

Evan: mind if I join you?

Me: sure, I’d like that.

We walked down on the beach and sat down. For hours we talked about ourselves. It reminded me so much of Seth and I getting to know each other. The sun was starting to set and we were just sat there, staring in the open ocean. The pack left a while back because they were already tired. I just stayed there with Evan. He’s a really nice guy. I started coughing and groaning a little in pain.

Evan: hey, you okay?

Me: yeah. I’m just kind of tired. I should go. My family is probably worried about me.

Evan: can I at least walk you home?

Me: sure. Can you give me a piggyback ride?

Evan: sure, would you like me to call you princess too?

Me: Ha, if you want.

I jumped on his back, as he climbed the cliff and headed in the woods. I decided to do something. I opened my mind, and read his. I LIKE KAYA. Ask her you idiot. Don’t bail out on a girl like this. She might like you. NO, SHE DOESN’T. She probably has a boyfriend, someone as beautiful as her. Ask her! It wont hurt. Come on or someone else will! She makes you happy! Take this opportunity! I’ll just drop her home, and never see her again. I’ll never have the guts. I giggled as I left his mind. Sam’s house came to sight, and we walked closer towards it,

Evan: what’s so funny?

Me: I, uh, nothing. Hey, do you want to hang out some time?

Evan: really? Wouldn’t your boyfriend be mad?

Me: what boyfriend?

Evan: y-you don’t have a boy,

Me: nope.

Evan: then yeah, I’d love to hang out with you some time. I’ll pick you up at 5. Saturday, be ready.

Me: I’ll be there. Before we go on this date, are you good with kids?

Evan: I love kids. Why?

Me: just asking.

Evan: date, huh?

Me: oh, you don’t want,

Evan: no. I want it to be a date. Well, here we are. Down you go, princess. I’ll see you Saturday.

Me: bye Evan.

Evan: bye Kaya.

He walked off, but came back and kissed me on the cheek. Then he ran away into the forest. I couldn’t help but smile and blush.
