--My POV--

A few days passed and I had to stay at the Cullen’s house because of my condition. My chest still hurts but my head has been getting better. My breathing has just been the same since. It hasn’t gotten any better. A week passed, and everyone came to visit me.

Sam: Why isn’t she getting better?

Carlisle: I don’t know why she isn’t getting better. Her chest still hurts and her breathing isn’t getting any better. But her head is healing just fine. She hasn’t been speaking, and everything I can do to make her chest pain and breathing go back to normal, hasn’t been working.

Emily: will she be okay?

Carlisle: I don’t know. I’m trying the best I can. There’s just one experiment I want to try, before I actually take her to a real hospital.

Paul: what would that be?

Carlisle: having her phase.

Kwoli: WHAT?! SHE CAN’T PHASE IN THIS CONDITION! IF SHE PHASES, SHE CAN PASS OUT. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH BREATHING A WOLF OR COYOTE NEED TO BREATHE? IF SHE CAN BARELY BREATHE AS A HUMAN, SHE WON’T LAST 5 SECONDS AS A SHAPE-SHIFTER!

Carlisle: I see that you are mad, and against it. But Kwoli, you must understand that if I don’t do this experiment, she will have to face the real hospital with everything wrong with her. They would want to know why I had her in the first place and didn’t take her here, why her body is so hot, why she can heal faster than any other human, and more. If she phases and passes out, I will take her to the hospital personally, and take all the blame. There’s no time to lose.

Kwoli: I’m trusting you Carlisle.

He nodded and had Seth carry me out into the woods. He put me behind a tree, so I can strip my clothes, and phase.

I stripped my clothes, and stood up behind the tree. Man, I’m already out of breath. I don’t think I can last long as a shape-shifter, but trying is the only way to know. I used all my strength, and took my last breath and phased into a wolf. I stood there for a moment, as my breaths kept getting shorter and shorter. Before I could collapse, I caught myself and found my breathing starting to rapidly increase. Not only was my breathing getting better, my chest was getting better too. I walked out from behind the tree, to find everyone staring at me with worried looks. I walked towards them, nodded and bowed my head to Carlisle.

Edward: she says thank you for taking care of me. If it wasn’t for you, I would probably be dying.

Carlisle: you are one of the people I would save. How is your breathing?

Edward: she says it’s getting better.

Carlisle: and your chest pain?

Edward: no more pain.

Carlisle: that’s great. You just need to phase again for you to be back to normal. If something seems different or weird, please, don’t be afraid to come back and ask. I’m more than happy to help.

I nodded and trotted towards the pack. I nudged all of them to smile. I ran behind the tree, phased and changed back into my clothes. I ran to all of them, and hugged each and every one of them, leaving Seth and Koda last.

Koda ran into my arms as I finally get to embrace him again. Then Seth hugged the both of us, and kissed mines and Koda’s foreheads.

Seth: the two most important people of my life. I love you both.

Me: I love you guys too.

Koda: me three.
