♤ 3rd person POV ♤

(I/n) yawned as he awoke.
' Great, still in this dumb stronghold. ', He thought, angerily.

(I/n) had been trapped here for a couple of days now. He didn't know why or how even, that he was held captive. Especially in Burn's stronghold. He thought he was nothing too special.

" Hey. ", A voice said.
(I/n) picked up his head and glanced towards the voice. It was just a normal SandWing guard. (I/n) said nothing and just blankly stared at the guard. After a couple of moments, the guard started to get uncomfortable.
" H- Here. ", They said, lending him a fried fish on their spear.
Just as they were about to fly off, (I/n) spoke up.
" Thank you. ", He said calmly.
The guard looked back at him. Then, they gave him a small smile.
" You're welcome. ", They replied as they flew off.

(I/n) stared at the fish in his talons. Then, he started to eat it. He would say that it wasn't as good fried but, he wasn't one to complain. After he finished, he layed back his head down into the stone floor. He coiled into himself tightly. He sighed deeply as he started to space out.

Voices pulled (I/n) from his thoughts once again. One was Smolder but the other, he couldn't recognize. He lifted himself up curiously. He tried to poke his head through the bars of his cell. But he was pulled back by the chains wrapped around his talons and wings. He could only peer outside through the bars, not further.

Soon, a SandWing appeared in his line of sight. But this one was different. She was colored differently, had green eyes, and no tail barb. She glanced at (I/n). They stared at each other for a couple of moments.
" Hello. ", (I/n) greeted, waving his talons as best he could.
" Hi. What's your name? ", The SandWing replied.
" (I/n). And yours? ", He responded.
" I'm Sunny. Nice to meet you. ", Sunny said.
" I would raise my talon to shake yours but, I'm a bit stuck at the moment. ", (I/n) laughed.
" I guess, you are. ", Sunny argeed.

A couple moments of silence drifted through the air.

" So, Why are you here? ", Sunny asked.
" I don't even know myself, actually. I kind of just appeared here one day. ", (I/n) explained.
" Oh. ", She said. Then, she thought for a moment. She opened her mouth to speak again but she was interrupted.
" SUNNY? ", Smolder shouted.
" I just I better go. It was nice to meet you. ", Sunny stated.
" Yea, bye. I hope you see you again soon. ", (I/n) replied, waving his talon.
Sunny nodded, waved and flew off to Smolder.

- Timeskip -

(E/c) eyes opened as a warm talon touched his (s/c) scales.
" Is he dead? ", A voice asked.
" No, He's still breathing. ", Sunny argued.
(I/n) lifted his head to see Sunny looking at him.
" Sunny, why are you in here? ", He asked.
" We're getting out of here. Especially from that weird room. It freaks me out. ", Sunny explained.
The small chains clicked and clanked as they opened and fell onto the floor.
(I/n) stretched out, from his talons to his wings.
" Thank you. ", (I/n) thanked.
Sunny nodded.

As both dragonets walked out of the cell, (I/n) noticed the other SandWing. She was definitely bigger than both him and Sunny.
" (I/n), this is my mom, Thorn. Mother, this is (I/n), my friend. ", Sunny said.
" Yes, Hello, (I/n). But there no time for introductions, we gotta get going. ", Thorn stated.
All three stretched their wings and flew off.

- Small Timeskip -

As Sunny moved away from the Outclaws, she noticed recognizable glimmering (s/c) shining behind her. She gave him a confused look. His (e/c) eyes widened as she stared back at him.
" You can go home now. You're free. ", Sunny reminded him.
" Um.... I don't think they would want me. Besides, I don't really have a safe home to go back to. ", (I/n) admitted.
He sighed deeply as silence settled in.
" Is it ok if I go with you? ", He asked.
Sunny thought for a moment.
" Yeah, sure. Why not. ", She answered.
(I/n) smiled at her.
" Thanks. ", He said.

(I/n) and Sunny both flew into the Rainforest. Some RainWings saw them and brought them to Glory. Glory looked at Sunny and then at (I/n). She grinned at Sunny.
" Who's this? You're new boyfriend ~ ? ", She teased.
Sunny's face flushed a deep strong red.
" Glory! And no, he's just my new friend. ", She explained, flusteredly.
" Sure. And but anyways.. ", Glory started. She took a deep breath in, her ruffs turned red and she grabbed Sunny's shoulder.
" WHERE THE HECK WERE YOU! ", She screamed in Sunny's face, almost spitting all over her.
" Ok, ok, let me tell you. ", Sunny started.

Jade Mountain Academy has just finished being built. Sunny was setting up her office. A knock came from the door (pretend they exist, if they don't). Sunny turned towards the door. It opened a very small crack.
" Hey.... Um... May I come in? ", A shy male voice asked outside.
" Yea, You may. ", Sunny replied.
(S/c) scales and (e/c) eyes slipped out. He looked at Sunny nervously.
" Is there something you needed, (I/n)? ", She asked.
" Um... yeah.. I did. ", (I/n) admitted.
He mumbled for a couple of moments. Then, he took a deep breath in and softly grasped one of Sunny's talons in his own. He layed his other talon on top of Sunny's. His (e/c) eyes gazed deeply into her green ones.
" Sunny... I... ", He started.
He looked away from her and at the ground. Then, he looked back at her. She gave him a expression that she would like to hear what he had to say.
" I wanted to say that I love you. Not for your whole destiny or anything, but just for you being you. I can't stop thinking about you. You fill my cold scales with warm emotions. And it's ok if you don't feel the same, I just needed to get this off my chest. ", He finally admitted.

Sunny sighed deeply. Then, she pecked him on the cheek. (I/n) jumped slightly as he felt the warmth from her scales on his cheek.
" I love you too. You are different, like me. I'm very glad we have that in common. ", Sunny said.
" Destiny is in our talons now. Let's make the best of it. ", (I/n) stated.
Sunny nodded.

I still believe / headcannon AroAce Sunny or just ace Sunny, but I hope this is good. Sunny is one of my favorite characters btw :)
