☆ 3rd person POV ☆
It was a warm spring night. Two small dragonets were quite restless at the moment. Their brains were filled with thoughts as they played together. Then, they quickly appeared to be bored once more.
" UHHHHH! There's nothing to do! ", One groaned loudly.
" I know! I want some fun! ", The another one agreed.
Silence soon fell upon the two once again. Then, the first one had an idea.
" Hey, I've got an idea! ", He chirped.
His sister gave him a look that told him to continue and tell her what's on his mind.
" What if we color some eggs? Like those eggs that are from chickens? I think? Why don't we color those? ", He rambled.
His sister thought about the idea for a moment. Then, she smiled and nodded to her brother.
" Yeah, let's do it. ", She agreed. The two dragonets quickly rushed out of their room. They buzzed their wings and flew towards their parents room. Their father was in there and they knew he would let them.
" Hey, hey dad. Wake up! ", One snapped at him, shaking the (s/c) SilkWing awake.
" Yeah, come on dad. You must wake up! ", The another barked.
The (s/c) SilkWing groaned and protested a couple of times before he fully awakened. Finally, he blinked out his (e/c) eyes. He shook his head to wake himself up, his antennae wiggling in the air. Then, he blinked again as his eyes adjusted. His looked down at the small dragonet in his talons and gave him a small smile." Why hello Moth. ", (S/n) greeted.
Then, the (s/c) SilkWing twisted his neck and looked on his back, where his other dragonet has standing.
" And hello to you too, Butterfly. ", He greeted. He blinked his (e/c) eyes as he gazed upon his dragonets.
" Why did you wake me up? Did you need something? ", He asked them.
" Yeah, we do actually. ", Butterfly confirmed.
" Yeah, follow us. ", Moth instructed.
Then, the two dragonets guided their father where he needed to be.Moth was a pale yellow which almost appeared tan or light brown. He had (s/c) antennae and a HiveWing horn in the middle of his forehead. He had the HiveWing body as his mother has. He also has brownish amber colored eyes. Butterfly has more SilkWing features. She has stubby spikes instead of the spiky ones and she had the SilkWing body. She has her father's (e/c) eyes. Both of them have HiveWing wings though. So, neither had ever had tiny wingbuds as their father once had.
(S/n) followed his children into the kitchen. Moth grabbed the eggs from the fridge and put them on the table. (S/n) was puzzled.
' But it isn't morning. Why would he grab the eggs? ', (S/n)'s mind asked.
Suddenly, a yawn was heard from the hallway, which was in the direction of the kitchen. (S/n) and his dragonets looked over to see who it was. It was Cricket." What is going on? ", Cricket asked, spotting her two children.
Then, she spotted her tired looking husband with them and she gave him a look of confusion.
" Is something going on that I wasn't invited to ~ ? ", She cooed.
She giggled at herself and walked towards him. She gave (S/n) a small kiss on the cheek. (S/n) still blushed a bit, as always. Then, she turned towards her dragonets." What's going on? ", She asked them.
" Uhhhhhh.... You tell them. ", Butterfly told Moth.
Moth shook his head in disbelief and his amber eyes widened.
" Why me!? ", He asked her with a nervous tone.
" Well, you had the idea! ", Butterfly argued.
Moth sighed deeply and blanked out for a couple of moments and he thought about how he would put it." Ummm... We wanted to color those eggs. I thought it would've been a good idea and it wasn't boring, so it would give this something to do. ", He admitted, not meeting his parents' eyes.
He quickly fiddled with his claws as he believed that he might get in trouble.
Cricket looked at him and then the eggs. A small blub went off in her head." You know what? I think that would be a good idea. I do need to do one thing first with them. ", Cricket told them.
Cricket quickly got a pot and filled it with water. Then, she placed the filled pot on the stove and set the burner to high, wanting it to come to a boil. She grabbed the eggs and put them on the counter that was closes to the stove.
" Mom, what are you doing? ", Butterfly asked her.
" Well, I need to boil them first. It's so they don't get all rotten. Then, we can color them. ", Cricket explained.
" Ohhhh... ", Butterfly exclaimed.
" But what will we do while they boil? ", Moth questioned with a touch of annoyance in his voice.
" Well, you could draw and color with crayons while you wait. ", Cricket suggested.Almost as if he knew, (S/n) suddenly had the box of crayons and some pieces of paper in his talons. The two dragonets beamed and rushed to the table. They all sat down and started to color.
" Dad? Why do you draw and color? Isn't that I kids thing? ", Moth asked (S/n).
" Well, no. It's an every dragon thing. Anyone can draw and color. Not just you dragonets. I do it since I enjoy it as much you do. ", (S/n) explained.
Butterfly shrugged.
" Alright. ", Moth shrugged. After about 15 minutes, the eggs were ready to be colored. The dragonets quickly grabbed their painting supplies and put it on the table. Cricket brought all the eggs to the table and sat down next to (S/n). Then, they all started to paint the eggs.
When all the eggs were painted bright and pretty colors, Moth and Butterfly yawned, showing that they were tired. (S/n) and Cricket smiled at them. Cricket picked up Butterfly and (S/n) picked up Moth. The two dragonets protested at first, but they gave into the warmth of their parents talons. Cricket and (S/n) tucked them in and kissed them goodnight.
As Cricket and (S/n) slipped into their own bed, they curled themselves together, holding themselves together. (S/n)'s head layed gently on Cricket's buttercup-yellow talons.
" I love you, my sweet ~ ", Cricket cooed at him.
A bright blush burst upon his (s/c) scaled face. He huffed, but a smile rose upon his face.
" I love you too, honey ~ ", (S/n) comes back.
Cricket giggled and then curled her neck along his. Both dragons quickly fell asleep in the comfort of the other.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Here, take some Cricket. I'm just a little bit in The Hive Queen. But, hey I started.
Anyways, have this special. I hope you have a good Easter (if you celebrate it). I'm not personally too into it. I'm just here for the candy I get and spring break hehe. But anyway, yeah. Take this special with Cricket.
