"Come on Y/n it's just one dance plus you will just be wearing a mask" Y/n just looked at their friend. "That's the reason I don't want to go. I don't dance formal. Nor do I wear mask." Their friend rolled their eyes. They begged for Y/n to go until it finally worked. In a matter of days, they made their way to a store. A close friend of theirs owned,Nikki, "Wow, you brought Y/n to a store? Is this about the Masquerade ball?" Y/n nod at Nikki. The second they walked into the store.

Everyone picked a dress for Y/n. From something that was simply/plain to something big gowns. One friend pulled out a Simply Champagne Satin Long Dress with a split on the side. It was gorgeous. Of course but it wasn't the one for her. Another friend found an off the shoulders dress. The top was with Floral Sheers and with the same floral on the bottom with little stems. It was puffy and came in any color. It was a good choice but they kept looking. Y/n didn't know what she was looking for. Then another was a Black Lace Tulle Long Dress. It covered the top with what it was supposed to cover.  The length was to the floor. Lace Back.

Then Y/n found the one. She adores it. Her friends saw the smile on her face with it on. A Vintage Retro Dark Green Ball Gown Appliques Lace Off-The-Shoulder Short Sleeve Backless Floor-Length. With the back a crossed straps. Material of Tulle. "Well-," Y/n questioned her friends as no one spoke, "I'm gonna guess no words means that everyone liked it." Everyone nodded in Unison.

Paying for the dress, they headed to a store full of masks. A group of 3 young men looked around for their Masks. Guessing at the last minute. As well as Y/n and her friends. They were talking loudly as one man approached the ladies.  "I'm so sorry to interrupt you ladies but May I ask you a question." Y/n looked at the Man, With his eyes looking at her. Her friend nudged her. "Uh yes you may what is the question?" Laughs were behind Y/n as the man gave a smile. "Does this mask look good on me? For the ball tonight" He held up a Green Goblin Masquerade Mask. It had horns with ears. Some fake dark green grass along with the mask. Some highlights of yellow or gold color near the cheekbones around the eyes. "What's the color of the suit you are wearing?" He tilts his head to remember the color. "Oh, the suit is Dark Green with some regular green" Y/n only nods as she thinks of the man in the green with the mask on. "I think it will work good hand and hand." He looks at Y/n with a smile."Thank you again. I hope to see you at the Masquerade tonight." He grabs to Y/n hand and places a kiss. He walks to his group. Y/n pulled her hand to her chest as she smiled.

Walking to her friend. Her friends started to ask her questions but all Y/n was in her mind about this young man. She ignored the question her friends asked while she glanced at the remaining masks. Then think of her dress. Something must come close to her dress. There was one that caught her eye as she walked up to it. It was a short horn mask. Some fabric of flowers is the same as the flowers on the dress. Highlights around the mask with green. Along with fake stems of leaves. She placed it around her head and walked up to the mirror as she imagined her dress. Her friends walked behind her. "I'm thinking you found the mask. It's very goblin if I may say. Like the man's masked you helped." Y/n just rolled her eyes not thinking of what she had to say with the mask. She purchased the mask and walked to her house.

Hours had gone by and just like that everyone was getting ready. On one side of town, everyone was relaxed. "Can you shut up about her already?" One said with a dark red suit with a black hint of red on his mask. "You might not see her tonight. But here you are already planning your whole life with a stranger." Another said with a dark blue suit with a blue tie that has straps along with it along with a black mask with hints of blue. These men laugh at his friend. While his friend appeared in dark green slack with a matching jacket.
