"I was relieved to hear you came to your senses Miss Schnee...." I tune her out as I fidget trying to get comfortable in this stupid case, I tune back in when the case is picked up by the two moronic guards who start mentioning how heavy the case is, rude.
I stay quiet and finally as planned Adrian lets out an ear piercing wail, that kids got some strong vocal cords, which distracts the guards who feel the need to comfort the small child. Once I'm pulled fully into the airship Weiss opens up the case letting me out.
"Calling me heavy, I'll...."
"Silver!" Weiss hisses
"Oh right, yeah I got it" I head to the captains seat and the airship hums to life "let's do this" I wink at Weiss through the mirror. It's not long and we're out of range, Weiss swiftly kicks the guards, that were supposed to escort her home, out, with a parachute of course, and takes her seat in the copilot's chair.
"Are you sure you can control this thing?" Weiss asks strapping in
"Please" I roll my eyes
"Can you?"
"How do you think I got to mountain Glenn?" I huff
"I hope Blake's shut it down" Weiss mutters
"She had better because we're heading back" I quickly and effectively turn us around, unfortunately Blake hasn't shut the tracker down, evident from the voice on the intercom
"Manta 5-1, this is Argus Base, you've turned around is there a problem"
"Great"
"Manta 5-1 return to base immediately or you'll be treated as hostile, over"
"This is going well"
"You interfering children, bring that airship back!" Cordovin screams through the intercom
"Ruby were in trouble" Weiss contacts Little Rose "why is the radar still up" she asks
"What's going on?" I ask Weiss
"She can't get ahold of Blake"
"What!"
"Errm Ruby, she's not sending fighters" me and Weiss look ahead mouths and eyes wide open
"That's a hell of a robot" I mutter "we're dead"
"Not helping Silver" Weiss hisses "is Cordovin piloting that?" The robot lifts its enormous arm and aims at us "Silver!" Weiss panics
"I got it" yeah I've not got it I think when a charge hits the airship "oh great she's knocked out the controls" I huff as I rapidly push buttons to no avail. Luckily for us it's only temporary
"we've got to get out of here" Weiss holds on for dear life "you want to fight this thing?" Weiss asks incredulously over the communicator
Cordovin the nutcase aims at Little Rose and all of the others
"Silver Dive!" Weiss instructs as she undoes her seatbelt
"Yes ma'am" I salute and then we dive
Weiss manages to create a barrier just in time to protect everyone from the ice that could have encased them, I land the airship but stay in my seat as they all try to come up with a plan
"That was close" Oscar sounds nervous
"We need to figure out how to stop Cordovin whilst also protecting the airship"
"Let's give her more targets" Jaune suggests
"You mean us right?" Nora gestures to herself and Ren
"Just think, that thing is designed to go up against large targets, we can turn our size into an advantage" Little Rose nods in contemplation
"Silver?"
"Hmm"
"You think you can keep the ship out of harms way"
"You got it Little Rose" I salute
"I'll be more useful if I go with her, i can get a Birds Eye view and try to figure out a weakness" Oscar adds
"Come on then kid, you to Saphire" I beckon Oscar and Saph, they jump onto the airship
"He's not the only one who can get a birds eye view" Qrow changes into his bird form and takes off into the sky, Saph sits in the copilots seat
"Hold on kid" I instruct Oscar who quickly holds on as once again the airship buzzes to life and we're in the air
The giant robot activates shields to deflect Nora's shots
"I saw that. We need to find what's generating it" Oscar speaks over the communicator . I ignore the fight below trying to keep track of where I'm flying as to not damage the airship as instructed by Little Rose "wait! That's it!" Oscar speaks up but Little Rose must have got herself into trouble in the mean time as instead of finishing his thought he shouts out "RUBY MOVE!!"
After a moment of silence from Oscar I lose my patience as I turn the airship around again
"Is she okay!"
"Yeah, yes, her and Weiss got out" I turn around again and I can see Little Rose and Weiss on one of Weiss' lancers
"Go!" I hear Jaune call from down below
"They knocked out the shields" Oscar cheers
I continue flying around aimlessly as Oscar runs to the front and grabs my shoulder
"Woah! Kid"
"Rubys in trouble we've got to help her" I spin the airship around again to see Little Rose in a world of trouble.
"Alright Cordovin let's see how this goes" I flick several switches and fly close to the mech before firing a missile but unfortunately for us Cordovin has the mech catch it and turn it around on us "this isn't good" the missile explodes in front of the airship which rattles, "hold on kid" Oscar quickly grips the back of my chair again.
Clearly the missile didn't accomplish what Cordovin wanted as she starts swatting at us
"Ruby!" Oscar yells out, I quickly look in the direction he's focused on and see Little Rose hanging on the cliff gripping Crescent Rose "Ruby can you hear me?" Oscar asks over the communicator, when Little Rose has made her way up the cliff Oscar starts speaking again "I know we were supposed to lay low but listen, I think I found a weakness" he listens to whatever they are saying before continuing "the cylinder on Cordo's cannon rotates and locks on a giant dust cartridge every time she changes attack styles" he pauses, they must be conversing on the other end "right, but her missile launcher doesn't lock in; it pops up. Without her shields, one well placed shot could detonate the missiles while they're still in the launcher"
"Wow, that's genius" I mutter
"Ruby needs to get close enough to make the shot" Oscar mentions
"I can guarantee that" I comment as we head over to the cliff to pick up Little Rose
"Hey Cordovin, I have one missile left and I know exactly just where I'm going to stick it" should I be annoying a woman in a big mech probably not but it did amuse me
"Silver" Saph hisses
"One missile you say little girl, that's a shame as I have plenty" the missile launcher pops out of the mechs arm
"ARE YOU TWO CRAZY" Oscar yells
"Sometimes the best approach is the most direct kid" I wink.
Little Rose gets into position but Cordovin seems to catch on and as Little Rose makes the shot Cordovin pulls the missile launcher down and the shot is slightly too late
"You thought you could fool me" Cordovin cackles, she readies the dust cannon
"Pull up" Oscar instructs, I pull up but we still get caught in the crash, the airship is rattled by the electricity which knocks out the monitors
"Hold on!" I yell back to Little Rose and Oscar "we're going to crash land!"
"What!" Oscar shouts as he grabs the back of the copilots seat
"Just hold on!" I feel Little Rose grip my seat
