"God, it's a shitty day to be alive.", Magnus scoffed to himself when he crawled off the sofa where Alec was still lying, still asleep- it was supposed to be sunny outside, instead the sky was grey and it was pouring- if there was one thing he absolutely despised, it definitely was bad weather. Grinning, Magnus decided to let his boyfriend sleep as long as he could. Alec's lashes caused shadows on his cheeks, his mouth was slightly opened, a few strands of hair on his fluttering eyelids. Knowing Alec was a restless sleeper and easy to wake up, he decided to go to the kitchen and prepare breakfast so both Isabelle and Alec could sleep as long as possible. Slowly but steadily, he was feeling like this apartment could truly be his home. And there was no better timing for that feeling as today, they were all going to go back to NYABM for the first time since the fire- not to live there, not to train there, but to discuss how to move on.

Trying not to wake anyone, Magnus started mixing milk and eggs by hand and dipped pieces of toast into the liquid before frying them. Though he wasn't a chef whatsoever, French toast was one of the few things he could do quite well. Slowly but steadily, spring was approaching and he didn't freeze in the morning like he used to, which made the entire process a lot more bearable

"Good morning.", he heard a hoarse whisper and turned around, seeing Alec leaning in the door frame, his hair disarrayed and the boxershorts slightly slipped to the side, his signature grin as present as always. "Hi, eye-candy.", Magnus chuckled and tippy-toed his was to Alec to give him a soft morning kiss. "Hey, sunshine.", Alec chuckled and ran his hand through Magnus' slightly greasy hair, "How'd you sleep?" "Good, you?", Magnus asked, arms still wrapped around Alec. "Me too.", he replied, clearly not fully awake yet, "We've got to stay quiet though, Isabelle is still asleep." "Or maybe she just wants to have breakfast deliver to her bed.", Magnus chuckled, pushing back Alec's hair- it has gotten quite long, he realized, "Oh boy, we have to cut your hair some time soon.", he chuckled and wrapped a strand of black hair around his finger. Mostly black. "Dude, grey hair? At twenty-one?", Magnus laughed, looking at the single silver hair badging itself from the black. "Don't let Izzy know, she'll panic and think that it's genetic.", Alec laughed and frowned- a slightly bitter, burnt smell laid in the air. "Shoot, let's not start another fire.", he cursed and darted to the stove to move the pan with the burnt French toast from the hot top plate. "Oh my god, I'm sorry!", Magnus laughed, having completely forgotten about his morning project. "All good, no worries.", Alec grinned and tossed the toast into the trashcan before soaking the pan in soap and water to get rid of the burned stain. Meanwhile, Magnus opened the window- thankfully, the door was closed to the smell couldn't emerge further into the apartment. "You do know that this is your fault, don't you?", Magnus laughed before getting a new pan, "You can't come in here shirtless, looking as good as you do and expect me not to get distracted." "I take full responsibility.", Alec smirked and dipped another piece of toast into the mix of egg and milk before putting it on the pan to fry, naturally taking over the breakfast-situation. Meanwhile, Magnus switched on the coffee machine and started making Isabelle some Cappuccino- as Alec and him were training again, their diet plan went back to normal again. "Are you honestly going to deliver her breakfast in bed, though?", Magnus asked- he thought it might be kind of cute and as Isabelle was letting them stay at her place, it might be a nice gesture. "The last time I did that she was seventeen and broke up with her boyfriend at the time.", Alec chuckled and put the toast on a plate. "I don't see how that's an argument not to do it again.", Magnus laughed and gently pushed Alec aside, "Come on, I'll take care of the rest." "Just don't burn the kitchen down.", Alec joked and grabbed the plate with two pieces of French toast as well as the Cappuccino before knocking on Isabelle's door and entering anyways. "Good morning.", he whispered when stepping in and put the plate and the coffee down, sitting down on the edge of her bed. "Hm?", she asked, clearly not ready to wake up yet. "Come on, it's a new day.", Alec said and pushed her hair behind her ear. She looked just like she did when she was fifteen and he woke her up every morning as she hated alarms. That little sister of his wasn't so little anymore- that was a whole grown badass woman in front of him. "It smells like coffee.", she smiled when her eyelids slowly fluttered open. "That's because my boyfriend loves you.", Alec laughed and she woke up immediately, realizing what that meant. "Oh my, that's so cute of you guys!", she exclaimed when she saw that there was breakfast standing by her bed, "I remember how you did that when I had just gotten broken up with at seventeen." "So do I.", Alec grinned and passed her the food. "Can you guys live here forever? You're spoiling me.", she laughed as Magnus walked in, two more plates and a bottle of water in his hands. "Oh, sure thing! I also decided that we're all going to eat in your room this morning, it's a shame not to eat together.", he replied and put down the rest of the food. "You continue to surprise me.", Alec chuckled as he turned around, looking into the loving eyes of his boyfriend. "Me too. I actually turned off the stove.", Magnus laughed and passed Alec his plate before they all made themselves comfortable in Izzy's bed, ready to spend the entire day talking before they'd leave for NYABM.
