"One last round of shots?", Simon yelled and everyone nodded. It was far past midnight and this was everyone's last night of summer break. To start off their senior year right Alec, Magnus, Maia, Simon and Raphael have met in a club to celebrate before they would all move back into their dorms the next day. Considering the fact none of them partied throughout the year, they invited Maureen, Isabelle, Jace and Clary to go with them. "Nine shots please!", Simon ordered, barely being able to drown the music. They have all gathered around the bar, waiting for the barman to pour the shots. "To us!", everyone cheered and swallowed the shots. Alec felt the alcohol burn his throat as it ran down into his stomach. "Woooo!", Magnus next to him cheered and pulled him onto the crowded dancefloor. His own alcohol tolerance was low, but Magnus was drunk after half a beer which now was starting to show. Grinning, Alec started to jump around like everyone around him. Neon lights flashed into his eyes as he suddenly felt Magnus' lips on him, strong, wild, passionate. Alec's fingers made their way through his hair, combing through the spikes of glitter gel. Then they started wandering down his neck, along the back of his shirt all the way down to where his ribs must be. Meanwhile Magnus had slipped his hands unter Alec's shirt, tracing his abs and his V-Line and playing with his waistband. Alec laughed and felt his teeth click against Magnus'. Sweat was running down his spine and he could taste Magnus' salty sweaty skin as his kisses wandered off down his neck. "We're in public, Alec!", Magnus laughed and Alec pulled away, looking at him with a fat smile:" As if anyone here would care." The entire club was filled with people screaming, drinking and dancing. Alec needed to admit, there was something about partying he enjoyed. Even though he had never been much of a party person, they needed to restrict themselves from it for a whole year which meant it was quite an occasion to get drunk and party during summer break. "Frat boy Alec, I would have never thought I'd get to see that.", Isabelle laughed, "Don't get too wasted, I don't think being hung over on the day you move back into NYABM is going to be nice." "It's too late anyways.", Magnus grinned and Alec started laughing. They planned to go clubbing together earlier, but everyone was busy so this was the only night all of them were available. "It was quite dumb doing it tonight.", Magnus admitted laughing and Alec nodded:" It's not like we had any other choice." Alec was proud of himself for saying that- after all, he usually was the responsible one, the couch-potato, the overthinker. And here he was, partying like he has never partied before on the night before they would move in. But not only Alec, everyone has changed over summer break. Magnus made some contacts through his agent Asmodeus, Maureen finally found a job that truly fit her in that ED clinic, Raphael flew out to Boston to be with his family and got a good transfer offer from Boston Ballett, Isabelle moved into her first ever own apartment after landing a huge runway job and becoming the face of a sportswear brand. And, to Alec's surprise, her and Simon started dating again. They had a bit of a flame his first year of NYABM but lost touch, which made Alec even more happy about their decision to try again. Life was looking good for all of them."So, what's with that offer from Boston?", Alec asked Raphael as they stepped outside the club to get some fresh air. "I was thinking about transferring because then I'd be closer to my family after my grandmother's death." "So why'd you come back?", Alec frowned. "I miss New York.", Raphael laughed, "And I didn't just want to make that decision out of the blue. So I decided to come back for the first semester and if I would feel like it's the best thing to do transfer after midterms." "And they're fine with that?", Alec asked, leaning against the brick wall outside the club, the beat of inside's music still pulsing through his veins. "Yes. I talked to Valentine and Miss Blackthorn about it as well and they even offered me to focus more on my solo dancing. That's why I won't even have a fix partnering partner this year.", he replied and broke the eye contact to Alec. "Well that sounds great. I'm happy for you.", Alec replied and took one last breath of the cold night air. "Thanks. Wanna get back inside?", he asked and Alec nodded.
Immediately after coming back to the club Alec spotted Simon and Isabelle making out in the corner right next to the bar. "Oh someone is going to have a crisis of faith tomorrow.", he chuckled to Jace who laughed out loud. "I mean she was always the one to say she doesn't like hooking up drunk at parties." "The two brothers creepily stalking their sister to make sure big bad Simon doesn't do anything he shouldn't?", Clary mocked them as she approached. Making fun of Alec's protectiveness of Isabelle has always been one of Clary's go-to jokes. "Wait until big bad Jace does something to you.", Jace grinned and leant in for a kiss. "Straights.", Alec rolled his eyes and laughed as he noticed Maureen just took a picture of him. "Iconic.", she laughed and put her phone back into her bra. "Can't wait to see that on Instagram.", Alec responded and made his was towards Magnus who looked like he was trying to get to the bar. "Hey you!", he said, "I think you had enough to drink tonight.", he grinned and laid his arm around Magnus who indeed looked a bit groggy. "But it's the last time until next summer.", he whined and Alec sighed:" Look at it that way- it was a fire party until now. Let's keep it that way, who knows what happens after one more drink and ruins the whole evening." "You're right. gotta stop when it's at it's best.", Magnus smirked and Alec laughed- oh his boyfriend was as drunk as it got before throwing up.
