Chapter 19: I Love You

He has been gone for two days.. TWO DAYS. and it feels like it has been 10 years.. You have been staying in his room, and teaching his potions class..

Sitting at his desk is making you really miss him.. He has the picture of you two from the Yule Ball on his desk, and everytime you see it.. it makes your heart hurt some..

The fact you didn't even tell him you loved him before he left racks your brain..

Sleeping these last few nights was the worst.. you just want him to come home.. You want to be wrapped in his arms.. His warmth enveloping you.. His hands, making you feel safe.. His smell that lingers on you sometimes after he has gone.. You have slept in one of his shirts every night just to feel like he is there..

He makes you happy, he makes you feel at peace... He makes you feel things you have never felt.. And you never want to feel that way about another person

You miss how in the bed, you two would laugh about whatever book you were reading... When he would play with the necklace around your neck..

He makes you feel complete.. and you want him now, more than ever..

You have got to tell him you love him... You have to..he needs to know..

What would happen if he doesn't come home...

*Knock*

"Ms. (Y/L/N) Professor Snape is back.. "

You jump up out of the seat and run towards the door.. You don't care that you don't have your shoes on..

You run out the door... and run down the hallways.. you feel the tears threatening to escape your eyes...

You need to get to him.. You need to tell him you love him... His embrace is all you long for at this point..

SEVERUS POV

Before he left, he got the picture of them from the ball made in a pocket sized form.. So he can keep it on him..

He acts like he is going to forget what she looks like or something..

These meetings have been no joke.. but they are getting somewhere.

He feels more at peace than he has felt in a long time.. but he is so worried that she is going to hurt, or taken when he is not there..

He realized during this trip... how much he loves her.. He misses her horrible cooking.. her laughs.. the smile on her face when he walks in a room..

How warm she makes him feel...Lily never made him feel that special...

When he walks in a room, from the second he steps foot in the door, he is the object of her attention...

He never really thought their relationship would get to where it is today and honestly he wishes he could be more for her..

Everyone dislikes Severus... or at least he thinks.. He is pretty sure she is the only person that likes him...

But even if she was the only person, that would make him happy..

I need to tell her I love her.. He thinks to himself as they start to cross the bridge into Hogwarts..

He sees the castle come into view.. and he is getting ready to get out of the carriage and get there.. why he couldn't just teleport there gets him.. but he wants to show the ministry that he is trustworthy

They pull up and he gets out.. he looks around for her but doesn't see her..

He is losing his mind.. where is she... he wants to see her..

He closes his eyes and tries to envision her.. where is she.. where is she..

She has to be close by... when he sees a flash of doors swinging open.. he darts open his eyes quickly and sees her running out the door..

"Severus!" she screams with tears rolling down her face..and the sound of her bear feet hitting the stone sends shivers down his spine..

He needs her.. now..

He drops everything and runs to her... as soon as they meet, he wraps his arms around her and hoists her up to his face..

They embrace each other in a kiss, her hands are in his hair, and his arms are tight around her waist.. like if he was to let go, she would disappear..

This kiss lasts for what feels like ever.... her body relaxes at his touch... he sets her down somewhat.. and takes his hands from her waist and cups her face.. he pulls away from their kiss to smother her face in small kisses..

"Severus.. Oh good grief I have missed you.." she says gasping for breath..

(Y/N).. I love you... I love you so much...

"I love you too Severus... Please.. don't ever leave me again..."

I don't plan on it.. he says picking her up and carrying her bridal style into the castle... and heads to his room..

Once they get in the room.. he sets her down on the bed and hovers over top of her.. and kisses her...kisses her cheeks...kisses her neck.. and he lays down beside her and pulls her into him...

He is never leaving her again...
