Chapter 27: Alive

YOUR POV

It's completely black, you try to open your eyes but you can't.

"My love, if you can hear me please try to squeeze my hand..."

The last thing you remember is seeing Severus, and then falling? You try with all your might to squeeze his hand, and then you hear sobs erupt from Severus.
"That's good babygirl! I love you my dear.."

You try, with all your might to open your eyes, you manage to crack them, and see his face.. Sev- you say squeezing his hand and trying to get to him.

"Dear don't talk, don't talk! Close your eyes, go back to sleep ok. I need you to rest, I'm gonna stay right here my love." You feel a kiss on your head, and you lean your head back, onto the soft pillow and hold his hand tightly..

SEVERUS POV

"You are one lucky man Mr.Snape!" The loud, southern American accent fills the room. And two big pats on Severus's back jolt him back to reality.

"Where the knife went in her back, it missed all the important arteries and organs. She will make a very quick recovery. She should wake up fully very soon, and when she does, please hit the call button so the nurse can check her vitals." 

Severus, still does not completely understand the muggle world. And this doctors accent is almost not understandable. 

Sir, could you remind me what button that is again. I have never really been in the hospital before so I am not sure. 

Dr.Grohman walks over to the right side of the ben and pulls this oddly shaped white thing out of a holster on the side of the bed. 

"This big red button right here, a nurse will come over that speaker and ask what you need. Just let her know that Mrs. (Y/L/N) is awake." 

Thank you, I will make sure I press that button and let the nurse know... 

Dr.Grohman walks out of the room and Severus's body slumps in his seat.. He grabs (Y/N) hand with both of his hands.. and rubs his fingers along her beautiful skin. He can't wait to take her home.. He was going to ask her to be his wife, this is all so new to him.. to love someone so much that you want to be with them forever, is a crazy feeling. He never thought he could love someone as much as he loved Lily, but now, thoughts of Lily hardly come anymore. His mind is full of his future with (Y/N).. 

Severus leans his head back on the uncomfortable hospital seat and holds (Y/N) hands tight in his.. He closes his eyes and drifts off to sleep...

*Dream*

"Mrs.Snape, I need you to push.." Trying to catch a breath is almost impossible... Severus is standing there, as white as a ghost.. holding your hand..

You use all your might and push, the room starts to go black.. and you scream because the pain is coming.. You should have gotten an epidural... 

Severus clinches, he hates seeing you in pain...

"One more BIG push and then you two will officially be parents!!" 

You look at Severus, and his eyes are glowing.. He is about to be a father, something he is excited, but terrified for. 

You take as deep of a breath as you can, and push.. Screaming with everything in you.. closing your eyes, feeling every ounce of pain...

"THAT WAS IT!" you open your eyes and look and they are holding your baby in their hands, wiping it off and sucking the fluid out of it's nose and mouth..

"Here is your beautiful baby boy!" She says holding him in the air, and he begins to cry....

"Mr.Snape, would you like to come cut the cord?" the nurse says clamping the cord.. 

He let's go of your hand and walks towards her, he grabs the scissors and snips it.. 

She wraps him in a blanket, then hands him to you.. As soon as she places the baby in your hands you feel the overwhelming feeling come over you.. You and Severus, are parents..

YOUR POV

You open your eyes, and everything is blurry at first... You blink a few times, and things begin to clear.. You are in a hospital room..

What happened?

You think, trying to remember the last thing that happened before the dream.. 

Look to your right, and Severus is sitting asleep in the chair.. his hands are holding her hand.. and his hair is messy and he looks disheveled.. you clear your throat and he sits up in his seat.. 

"Oh my dear...how I have missed you.." he sits up and pulls you in and kisses you so softly.. 

You smile as he releases you, will you tell me what happened? 

"First, I have to call the nurse. Dr.Grohman showed me how to call for the nurse." He grabs the remote on the side of the bed.. and presses the red button. 

"Yes Mr.Snape" 

"She is awake!" "Alright! We will be there shortly.. 

............

After the nurses came in and evaluated you and checked your vitals. You have short term memory loss. You don't remember anything other than falling down stairs.. 

Severus, what happened.. I want to know...

After the nurse leaves he crawls in the bed beside you.. 

"Your father is still alive, he sent his goones to come steal you away from me.." Severus says and you feel his whole body shake.. 

"They took you for almost two days, and you where trying to escape when we found you..Your father pretended to be knocked out.. and he came up behind you and stabbed you.." 

Why did he take me? 

"He either wanted you to give up your powers, or die...He is completely against anything magical.. He has forfeited all of his powers and despises all witches and wizards.. He is arrested, he is not getting out for a long time my dear.. Even then, I am never letting you out of my sight ever again.." 

Severus... that's not possible, I love you but your never going to be able to always be there...

"You will see my dear.." He rests his hand on the back of your neck, and cups your cheek with the other.. 

" I love you..More than I can even describe"
