Chapter 23: A day on the Town

SEVERUS POV

He feels her shift, he opens his groggy eyes.. and blinks.. her eyes are open and she is staring at him with a grin on her face..

"You know, you look really cute with bed head.." she says running her fingers through his hair..

He leans up and kisses her on the forehead..

You feel great  in my arms..

He looks at her, she is curled up in his arms... her hair is dangling behind her.. he looks at her eyes and they are squinted because she doesn't have her glasses.

How are you supposed to know I look "Cute" if you can't see me..

He leans over her to get the glasses off the nightstand, and she wraps her arms tightly around his chest.. burying her face into him...

(Y/N)... I love you..

He says wrapping his arms around her and pulling her even closer to him..

She looks up at him...

"Oh I don't care about morning breath.." she grabs his face and pulls him into a kiss..

This kiss was different, it felt like they were almost complete in each other.. Their love, was flourishing even more than it was before..

YOUR POV

Lunch was fantastic, the two of you went to a family favorite Italian Restaurant.. It was Severus's first time having real Italian good. He now claims he never wants anything else other than this food.

You two walk hand and hand down the beautiful city streets. The town is very old, the brick sidewalks and old buildings bring back memories of walking the town with your mother..

The two of you stopped in a few clothing stores, and found some new clothes, you found a beautiful inexpensive set of heels that had red bottoms on them. You could never afford the real thing, but these will make due for now..

You go into this old book store.. and you and Severus spend the next few hours browsing the selections of books.. you go through almost every romance, fiction, non-fiction,sci-fi,horror...all of your favorite genres..

Severus spends most of his time in history, some fiction.. but mostly practical things...

"Dear..will you hold these books for me? I will be right back... I'm dying of thirst and I want a drink, would you like anything?"

Oh no.. I'm ok thank you love..

You say sitting up, kissing him on the cheek..

His cheeks turn a light dusting of pink.. as he walks out the doors of the library..

You look at the stack of books he has, and you smile... you are so thankful that you two have this in common.. you close your eyes and start to daydream about the future you and Severus could have...

A huge library, filled with books you two have read..maybe even some children's books.. maybe if you two have kids in the future, they will fill it to with their books..

The sex that could be had in a library....you can see it now..pinned against the shelf..books flying..Severus moaning into your ear as pleasure runs through your body..

You honestly don't know how much longer you can hold out with him... you want him...But you also are afraid... afraid to give that away after taking years to try to reclaim yourself..

You shake your head clearing your thoughts and you look back down at the romacebook you are reading.. and get lost for a moment..

SEVERUS POV

When he walks out of the bookstore and takes a right turn.. looking behind to make sure no one is following him.... after about a block, he walks into a antique store him and (Y/N) went to earlier that day..

"Welcome back sir.." the lady behind the counter says with a grin...

He nods his head...

Good Afternoon... earlier me and my lady came in, when I was browsing one of your jewelry pieces caught my eye....

She smiles... "Oh yes sir, I saw you eyeing the ring... and I put it to the side....." She turns to a lockbox that is behind her, and she pulls a velvet green box, and sets it on the counter in front of him.. He opens the box and looks at the ring inside..

This is everything he could hope for, he has to propose to her... he needs to do it soon.. He wants the promise of forever with her..

YOUR POV

You get taken out of your trance, when you notice a hand resting on your shoulder.. Severus is looking down at you smiling..

"You ready to head back to the house?" He says picking up his stack of books....

You stand and grab your small stack, and the two of you go to the counter... While Severus pays for the books.. you feel a cold chill run down your spine. You look around and see nothing, you look up.. and you see a man holding a book, but he is not looking at the book.... he is watching you.... you grab Severus's arm, and he looks down at you with a look of confusion.. You don't even acknowledge him.. you keep your head down and hold yourself close to him..

Once you two get out of the bookstore, Severus interlocks his fingers into yours..

"Dear...What happened in there?"

I thought I saw someone I used to know, can we go home?

Once you get home, You take the things the two of you bought, and put them in the suitcase..

"Love, will you come watch the sunset with me?" Severus stands in the doorway with two blankets..

I would love to! You say jumping up and grabbing your coat... You feel the pocket that you had made inside to make sure your wand is in there.. And it is safe and sound.. After what happened earlier, you are not going anywhere without it.

You interlock your arm into his, and he the two of you walk outside.. there is a perfect spot right in front of the lake.. You grab one of the blankets from him, and lay it down on the ground. He lays his down beside it, then the two of you sit down. He wraps his arm around your waist and he pulls you closer to him, then kisses you on the forehead...

"I love you..." he whispers in your ear, you feel the tingle of his breath on your neck and you feel his hand tighten around you.. you feel warmth pool in your gut...

I love you... You lean into him, and you can feel his heart beat even faster than before..

You two stare into the sunset, you feel his hand drift to his pocket.. but he pats it a couple times, then sits up some more..

"Dear, I left something in the house.. I will be right back.."

He kisses you, then gets up and walks towards the house. You laid down on the blanket and close your eyes.. and take a deep breath... When you hear the sound of leaves crunching, you open your eyes and sit up when a rag covers your face.. and then suddenly everything goes black..
