Chapter 30: Do you love me?

YOUR POV

Severus seemed cold at dinner... Normally, he holds your leg under the table but he never touched you.. He left the dinner table as soon as he was done eating. These past few days he has hardly even looked your direction. He has not paid you any mind, he hardly even acknowledges your presence...Since Hermione and the ministry came, he has been a completely different person...

What did I do?

You think to yourself as you try to finish your food to catch him.. You jump up out of your seat and go out the door of the great hall. But he is already gone..You are still wobbly from everything and trying to heal. So you take your time, you walk to the y'alls room and look around... you don't see him, he isn't anywhere in here...

You begin to walk through the halls and you hit the stairs that leads down to the dungeons where his classroom is.. You start to walk down the stairs and a memory hits you..

You remember the sharp shooting pain that ran through your body, as you were flung in the air and thrown down the stairs.. Every step causing more pain, thinking you would never see Severus again... When you hit your head on the last step, you remember the pain that filled your head and body..

You miss a step and fall forward, your whole body starts convulsing and you can't see clearly.. All you can hear is the words of your father "You either give up your powers or you die" You try to scream, but you feel like nothing comes out.

Soon you black out..

SEVERUS POV

"Professor!" Minierva runs screaming in his office.. the look of pure horror on her face..

What is the problem? Severus says throwing his quill down and standing from his desk.

"(Y/N)! She..she.. I can't even explain it" She says tears filling her eyes and gasping between each word.

His heart stops... he has been in a fog ever since Timothy decided to bring everything back up.. He didn't even realize that he was ignoring her..

What-Happened....

Severus Says as the tension builds in his body...

"We are not sure Severus, one of the students heard a scream and came running and found her convulsing and screaming.. tears rolling down her face on the stairs..."

No..NO! Where is she!

"In the hospi-" Severus throws his chair back and runs out of the room.

Why did I leave her, why did I not pay attention to her..

The tears roll down his cheeks as he runs through the halls.. he runs past students... staff...

He loves her why did he act this way.. He realizes that he hasn't even looked at her since the ministry left..

The words of Hermione ring in his ear.. "You are her light just as much as she is yours, you are glowing.. Keep her as close as you can."

Merlin...what have I done.....

Severus busts through the doors to see (y/n) being restrained to a bed, she is not awake and his heart starts to break..

She is pale, and her hair is disheveled.. her eyes are puffy... bruises are starting to form all over her body.

Severus bends down and grabs one of her hands that is restrained.. he holds it in his, and places his forehead on their hands..The tears flow, and He feels like he is sinking in the ocean.. he wants to shrivel up and die..
