Chapter 45: A Great Way To End The Night

SEVERUS POV

She wraps her arms around his torso, and is giggling with happiness and laughter..

"That Show was amazing Severus! I haven't had this much fun in sooo long.."

I am glad you enjoyed it, I have heard several of the students talking about the show and I had a feeling you would like it..

He fumbles for the keys to open the cottage door...

Once inside, the first thing he does is take off his shoes... Since being with (Y/N) he has learned that the feeling of not having shoes on is relaxing.. It almost connects you to the world around you..

He glances over at (Y/N) as she sheds her coat and shoes as well.. He looks at the the small bump that is beginning to show.. And his heart starts to race.. Never would he have imagined he would be a father.. For most of his life, he has never enjoyed children.... but in this past year, he has really come to enjoy kids.. And doing it all with (Y/N) is what makes it all better..

"I am going to go take a quick shower, I am really tired after today. I also need to save all my energy for tomorrow because I know (Y/Bf/N) is going to be really excited... I also would like to do a little shopping tomorrow for the baby, if that is ok with you?"

Sounds good to me my love... He walks over and plants a kiss on her cheek.. She blushes and runs off to the bathroom..

He walks to the room and takes the rest of his clothes off, and slips on his black silk Pj's and sits on the bed... He picks up a new book he found recently on potions that he was considering using for the next school year for some of his classes.

After a few minutes, he hears the sound of a tap on the window...His nerves are instantly on edge, last time they were in the muggle world, he had nearly lost (Y/N)

The tap happens again, but this time he hears what sounds like an owl... He walks over to the window, and opens it slowly.. Revealing an owl he drops an envelope then flies away..

He grabs the letter then shuts the window, it says "(Y/N) Snape From Madam Pomfrey"

"What was that Severus?" (Y/N) says as she walks out of the bathroom, and towards the bed, she has a gust of wind blowing around her hair to dry it..

It's a letter from Madam Pomfrey? Were you expecting anything?

Her eyes light up as she drops the wind from around her head, she walks over and sits beside Severus in the bed.. She is wearing a Pink Silk night gown that shows her beautiful bump so perfectly..

"Oh Severus, I was hoping to surprise you.. Have you opened it yet?"

No.. I haven't.. He goes to hand her the letter but she stops him..

"This has the sex of our baby in it babe... You can open it..."

He pauses and looks at the letter in his hand..

We are fixing to find out if it is a boy or girl?

"Mmhmm" She says staring into his eyes... She grabs her glasses and puts them on and scoots close to him.. Wrapping an arm around his..

He opens the bottom of the letter and pulls out the inside... When he begins to unfold the paper, a few ultrasound photos fall out... He hurriedly picks them up and looks at the black and white imagines... Seeing the form of their child..

After a few moments of staring at the photos, he hands them to (Y/N) and finishes unfolding the letter..

" Severus and (Y/N)...

I am so excited to be informing you that...

You are having a sweet baby boy!

Congratulations.. With much love

Madam Pomfrey"

We are having a boy... A Boy! He says putting the papers down and looking into the eyes of (Y/N)

" Severus! We are going to have a son!!" the tears begin to pour down (Y/N) cheeks..

He grabs his wife and pulls her into his chest...

A son...

They both embrace each other and let the tears of joy flow out..

She pulls back from him and looks at the ultrasound photos, "Look at our boy.." Severus grabs one of the pictures and holds it tight to his chest for a moment.. then sets it down on the nightstand..

He lays (Y/N) back onto the bed and crawls down to her belly..

He gently rests his hand on her belly.. I love you my son...

After several moments, he kisses her belly and then lays down beside her and brings her in.. This was a great way to end an amazing night.. Laying here with his beautiful wife, and son..
