Chapter 35

Jungkook POV:

"Aww Jungkookie!  Why you look so sad?"  Jimin flopped down in the airplane seat next to me, throwing an arm around my shoulders. 

Letting out a sigh, I leaned my head against him.  "I... I just don't want to leave Y/N again.  I feel like we didn't get nearly enough time to spend with her, like it's never going to be enough."

Hugging me tightly, Jimin let out his own sigh, his lips turning down in a frown.  "I know what you mean.  It feels like the last two days flew by so fast and I hate it."

As we sat there in silence waiting for the plane to take off, I thought of the last two days with our soulmate.  After the final concert in Paris, we had two days to spend with just her and it was perfect.  Instead of setting up small group dates like we did in the US, we spent the time together with all of us, just getting used to the group dynamics, the idea of all of us together.  I had watched as Y/N interacted with us and the patience in her eyes never wavered, the sweetness was always present and it made me think once again of how perfect our soulmate was, how happy I was that she had been chosen for me, for us. 

The day after the concert we took a slight risk in going out in public.  We wanted to take our soulmate out to see the sights of Paris and management had surprised us with a boat ride on the Seine River.  It had been beautiful, romantic and perfect.  We had dinner on the boat and had watched the sun set over the river.  The view were stunning and when I looked back at the photos we had taken, I felt my heart fill with an almost overwhelming sense of love for my soulmate that it took me by surprise.  I had been a little stunned that Jimin had told her he loved her already, but when I saw the two of them together, I knew he meant it, knew she meant it.  Seeing them together was like watching a fairy tale come to life and I couldn't wait until it was my turn to experience the same thing with Y/N.

Part of me had been shocked that Jin had joined us on the boat cruise, but I could see that he was making the effort to get to know Y/N.  She was extremely hesitant around him and I couldn't blame her, considering their first interaction.  She was polite and kind, never showing any type of irritation, but her smile wasn't as bright and her words were a little more cautious, a little more thought out, rather than the openness she had been showing to the rest of us.  I wanted to feel sorry for my hyung, but I couldn't.  He knew Y/N was his soulmate, we all knew she was, but he was refusing to acknowledge it, acknowledge her.  I even knew that Y/N had figured it out and it made me even sadder to know that our soulmate knew the final member of our bond was rejecting her.  I promised myself that I would love her enough to help fill the Jin-shaped hole in her heart.

The second day with Y/N was just as fun as the first.  As much as I would have loved to take her shopping in Paris and spoil her, we had stayed at the hotel, ordering food, watching movies and spending the time getting to know each other even more.  We asked questions about her hobbies, her family, her likes and dislikes, feeling the happiness grow when we realized things we had in common.  At Namjoon's insistence, we even did a quick video chat with her best friend, Arely, and officially introduced ourselves.  I had to laugh as Arely fangirled, especially when Yoongi gave her his smile that made all the girls go crazy. 

It was fun to watch the two women converse back and forth and interesting to see how Arely switched from Spanish to English, the same way we did from Korean to English.  Arely had been watching Freyja, so we all got another chance to see the cute kitten and I had to laugh when Yoongi's gruff demeanor disappeared as he baby talked the ball of fluff.  After the video chat with Arely, the conversation switched to pets and Namjoon looked up what the process was to bring Freyja to Korea.  I could see the relieved smile on Y/N's face when she learned it was fairly simple and I knew she felt better about not having to leave her kitten behind.
