I want to go back to these times⬆

"Ok... so I came upon this... realization the other day," she said slowly, still blushing madly.

The other three smiled, all thinking the same thing. "Yeah, and?" Sofia encouraged.

"Um... I, uh... I do... I like Josh," she muttered.

The three look at her like she's crazy. They aren't even sure they heard her correctly. "C- Can you repeat that?" Dara said, mouth gaped.

Olivia felt her hands get sweaty. "I- I like Josh," she whispered yet again, this time with a growing smile.

Grins formed on the faces of the other three. "Oh... my god!!" they shrieked in unison. The rest of the cast looked over at the four like they had just lost their minds, which they had.

Olivia quickly silenced them, now wishing she had said this to them somewhere else. "Keep your voices down!" she hissed.

"Sorry," Sofia said, "but you can't blame us. Oh my god, this is the best news ever!" she whisper cheered.

"I feel like that says a lot about your life if this is the best news," Olivia half-joked.

"Well, it was exhausting to watch since we knew it was inevitable," Julia said.

"Ok, here's the thing though: you can not under any circumstances tell him or anyone else."

"Oh come on! We've made this much progress, and now you're gonna make us wait longer?" Dara whined.

"You're acting like you're watching a movie."

"Because we are!" Sofia exclaimed. "This is like a two-hour rom-com, and the main characters finally get together with only, like... six minutes left of the whole thing."

"Wait, how does that make sense?" Olivia asked. "Movies typically have happy endings."

"Not the point."

"Are you implying you two won't have a happy ending?" Julia questioned.

"How is an ending possible if a beginning doesn't exist?" Olivia responded.

"Well, if you'd both grow a pair, you'd know!" Sofia said.

"Sofia!" Olivia scolded.

"Please. Tell me I'm wrong."

On the other side of the theater, Joshua was with Matt and Larry, not entirely sure what they were talking about yet still somewhat aware (something about donuts).

He was watching the girls' conversation, completely distracted and not caring one bit. He could see the side of her face as the four of them were talking; he obviously didn't know what about, but that didn't matter. She was blushing like crazy, and he was curious what was making her react like that.

He could feel his body growing hotter the longer he stared at her. She looked really pretty to just be in an orange long sleeve with a simple red t-shirt that said East High Drama over it. It was clear to him that she was wearing lip gloss as her lips shimmered under the soft theater lights. This brain and heart were at war with each other: stay in his seat or shout everything from the rooftop.

He's never felt so strongly for someone so fast before, and the effect on himself after only spending a short amount of time with her was kind of scaring him. I've had a crush on her for three days! What's wrong with me?

His thoughts drifted to the previous night and how she had spontaneously decided to kiss his cheek. It was quite literally the most simple action ever, yet he was still losing his mind over it. If he was this worked up over a little peck on the cheek, he wondered how he'd react if they were to ever genuinely kiss... if that were to happen of course, which most likely won't.
