It's been a while since I've asked this, but what's been your favorite chapter so far?

Also, another long author's note at the bottom.

Everyone was bouncing on their toes as they were getting ready. It was nerve-racking just standing in the back and waiting. "I might throw up," Matt admitted.

"I can't believe we're about to perform in front of thousands of people," Julia said, breathing deeply and biting her nails.

"You said thousands?" Dara said, laughing nervously. "Girl, I thought it was just 600." She continued to laugh, attempting to mask her fear.

"Everything we've worked for all year... it's all about to be out there," Sofia said, shocked.

The show was completed; they had officially finished filming all ten episodes of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

The eight of them were about to go on stage for the debut announcement of their show at the D23 show, and they were freaking out... like, a lot. They kept peeking out to the audience and nearly fainted at the number of people sitting, just staring at the stage.

"Ok, guys, gather 'round!" Tim hollered. "Ok, are we ready for this?" They nodded eagerly, trying to cover up their nerves. "Just remember this. You should feel proud of yourself and especially each other for all the work that you've put into this. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday when we all arrived in Salt Lake, but now, it's finally time to reveal what you have accomplished. Are you ready, Wildcats?!"

"Yes!" they shouted back.

"What team?!"

"Wildcats!"

"What team?!"

"Wildcats!"

"What team?!"

"Wildcats!"

"Wildcats!?"

"Get'cha head in the game!" They finished the pep talk; five more minutes until it was time.

"Hey," Joshua said, approaching Olivia and lifting his guitar over his head, "how are you feeling? Ok?" He propped it up on the table next to them.

"Yeah, yeah, totally. I just, uh... I feel like passing out a little."

"Hey, look at me, ok?" He grabbed her hands and held them gently. "You're gonna do great. We all are. If you get nervous, just look at me, yeah?"

"Yeah, ok. Ok." Olivia wrapped her arms around his neck, wishing she could play with his hair. It was put together for the performance, which neither appreciated because she couldn't touch it until they were done. She had made it obvious to him that she liked it better relaxed and unruly anyway.

When they pulled away, their heads stayed together. "I want to kiss you so bad right now," he admitted quietly. There were tons of people around to help with the show.

"Me too," she whispered, getting on her toes and holding his neck. "Screw it." They kissed deeply for a minute, relishing in the moment until they had to go on stage and perform with little to no physical interaction. (She touched his hair some out of habit, but she wasn't going to take the blame for it being so alluring.)

"Ok, ok, this is a family show!" Sofia called, making a big deal while breaking them apart.

The two looped their arms through each other and looked at their friend. "Sof, isn't this what you wanted?" Olivia asked.
