Joshua "Josh, who do you think should play Nini?" Tim asked me once the last girl left.
"Olivia Rodrigo, definitely," I state with confidence.
"That's what I was thinking, you two looked really great together."
"I can leave now, right? I'm so beat."
"Yeah, I'll call you to tell you who got Nini."
"Great, thanks."
I get in my car and drive off. I figured there's nothing to do for the rest of the day, might as well go to Asher's place.
I ring the doorbell, and he answers. "Hey bro, whatcha doing here?" he asks as I walk in.
"Just bored, we finally finished all the Nini auditions so I'm really just tired."
"The couch is always available," he chuckles then turns to go back to his room. "Just curious, did anyone stick out in particular?" he asks before leaving.
"Yeah, there was this one girl. Olivia Rodrigo," I say.
"That's cool, especially since you know her." I look up at him with confusion.
"What are you talking about?" I ask.
"What are you talking about? Didn't you meet her at my birthday party once?" he asks with his eyebrows raised.
"I did? Why don't I remember that?"
"I don't know, it's not like there was alcohol." He finally goes back to his room doing who knows what.
'Huh?' I think to myself, 'How could I have forgotten her?' I'm bored out of my mind so I decided to go on Instagram to see if I could find her. I scroll through some of her old posts, and it turns out she's a songwriter. And yeah, she does have a really great voice.
I also found out she has a boyfriend. Ethan Wacker... he's one lucky guy to have her as his girlfriend.
Olivia *One Week Later* I feel like I'm on pins and needles waiting for a phone call. It's been about a week, and to distract myself I decided to head out to do some school work. I'm currently at a cafe doing homework when my mom walks in.
"Hey, what are you doing here, and why are you recording me?" She had her phone in front of her face and the camera was pointed at me.
"You got the job!" she whisper yells.
"I- I what?!" I say, trying to contain my excitement.
"The High School Musical audition! You got the part!" I am trying so hard not to scream right here in front of everyone.
"No way!" I immediately pack up and head out to my mom's car. I get in and almost immediately scream.
"OH MY GOD! I can't believe I got it!" I yell.
"I'm so proud of you!" my mom says while hugging me. "They said check your email for when you need to be there." I open my phone and quickly read it.
"I can't believe I'm going to be living in Salt Lake City for six months!" I squeal. I text Ethan and Madison to tell them I got it, I couldn't wait to tell them in person.
