It's been a while since I've asked this, but what do y'all think of the story? (I think it was like chapter 16 when I asked last. I don't really remember🤷‍♀️)

Also, I posted a new one-shot on Sunday (Olivia's birthday). It's only been two months since I last updated that book 😅

Everyone came back together on the side of the building after searching all around the outside of the building. "I don't know. There wasn't a single person anywhere," Matt said when he arrived.

"Same for us," Dara said.

Tim's face turned ghost white as he began to panic. "Oh my god, oh my god, what are we gonna do? What are we gonna do!?" A thin layer of sweat appeared on his forehead.

"I'm sure they're-" Julia is interrupted as they hear people coming around the corner. Joshua and Olivia appeared, perfectly fine.

"Oh." They stopped in their tracks. "What are you guys doing here?" Olivia asked.

The cast and crew stood there with their jaws dropped. "What are we doing here? What are we doing here!?!" Frankie yelled.

Olivia and Joshua looked at each other. "Uh, yeah. That's what she said," Joshua said.

"What do you mean what are we doing here!?!" Sofia shouted.

"We thought you guys were dead, kidnapped, or... Where were you!!?" Dara screamed.

"Oh, Josh's car," Olivia answered simply. "We got trapped in that little room we were filming in last with this... weird gas."

"Yeah, it was all white and so thick that you could barely see two inches in front of you. Luckily, found a way out. I, uh, I might have broken a few things, but hey, we're safe," Joshua said.

"I'm glad you're both ok," Tim said.

"Are you two sure you're ok though? How long were you exposed to that... gas?" Joe asked.

"Um, good question. I don't really remember," Joshua said. "All I know is that our lives were in danger, and she, uh... passed out, so I knew we needed to be out as fast as possible."

"So you didn't come and find us?" Matt questioned.

"I felt like I was knocking on death's door and was carrying her," Joshua countered. "No, I didn't think to come here! We went to my car and were lucky I left it unlocked."

"We've been looking everywhere for you two," Julia said.

"And you didn't think to come to the parking lot?" Olivia wondered.

"Well... Ok, no," Larry admitted.

"The point is," Tim began, getting everyone's attention, "you're safe now. The fire department found the machine that was... creating the gas or smoke and took it away to run tests. They said not to go back into the building until about an hour later, so everything would hopefully filter out. How are you two feeling?"

"Uh, fine," Olivia answered.

"Yeah," Joshua agreed. "Slight headache but fine for the most part. I thought it would've been much worse, but yeah, I feel ok."

"As long as you don't suddenly get sick tomorrow, I'd say no harm done. Ok, let's head home now."

"Tim," Joe chimed in, "all our stuff is in the theater."

"We'll have to come back for it later."

"I think he means our car keys," Frankie interjected.

"Oh... right." Tim thought for a minute. "I guess we're stuck here for the time being then."
