My Hero Academia - Odd Theory Doesn't Pan Out

I should be working on my ONC entries. One of the entries is My Hero Academia. Since it is a story where the dorm system is in place from the beginning, I'm pulling up images to help me better describe the dorm rooms without getting an off-canon description. Which led me to finding a Tumblr post by stray-tori that I've linked to at the bottom.

Here's the gist.

- In canon, Midoriya and Bakugo were banned from class for several days after getting in trouble. And while they were banned, they were also assigned to clean the entire common area on their own.

- The writer of the post points out that Midoriya, at one point, forgot to clean his side which stray-tori goes through great lengths to point out is the girls side.

- And concludes that Midoriya lives on the girls' side because it's called "his side."

And I'm like, nope.

No.

What "his side" means is the side of the common area that Midoriya is in charge of cleaning, not the side that he lives on.

I mean--

We've two guys being punished by cleaning the entire common room area, one of them is going to be stuck cleaning the girl's side of the dorm, right, but it's not a bad way of dividing who does what, that one takes on the boys side, and one takes on the girls side. Which also explains why the guys from their class held out on throwing away their trash until the last day. Part of it may be giving Bakugo a hard time because he's Bakugo, but if he stuck Midoriya with cleaning the girl's side of the common room, that may have also factored in.

As for the rest of the post--

Let's just say the theory gets weird and is definitely debunked when this part ended up animated.
