It had been almost a month since Chaldea defeated Rome, and they felt like they would never see China. That was until the bells rang and an announcement was made. They had arrived. Laurine sailed the ship as the three watched from the deck. In an instant, the world turned dark. The crew brought lanterns and a spotlight so they could see where they were going and watched in awe as other ships entered. All looked like fireflies in the surrounding darkness. Laurine explained that China was covered in darkness centuries ago, perhaps dating back to the demon war. Then, the lights on some ships went dark, a crash was heard from the distance and splashes could be seen through the dim lights of other ships.

Laurine ordered her crew to turn off the lanterns and the spotlight; a demon was attacking the ships. She brought out her gun and put on her hat which had a scope attached to it. She shot, her bullets teleporting to different locations before hitting the demon. She planned to confuse the demon and keep it away from the other boats as they tried to dock. Eventually, it rose above the water's surface and hit the water. The ships were rocked by the large waves and some smaller ones capsized.

One of the crew members pulled a lever to create a shield made of crystals around the ship. The demon took notice and went after her, it tried to smash the shield as the crew prepared their guns. Nero joined in as well, taking out the new sword she got from Rome. Helena and Mitra also went to her side, they readied their spells and told the crew to lower the shield. Once it was down, Helena released the energy she was storing in her book. The field was covered in light before lances pierced through the demon.

It took the form of a large octopus and grabbed the entire ship from below. Mitra jumped off and floated above the water, he held a ball of fire in his hands and punched the demon as Helena worked on spells that could travel long distances. The demon released the ship and headed to the front, it started to stab the ship, trying to hit each of the crew members until Nero cut off one of its limbs. Her sword made a clean cut and kept the demon from healing. Since it was an anti-divine weapon, it had extra effects on those with special properties.

Carmen created a platform of glass for Nero to run on as she cut off each limb and the others kept the demon busy with their spells. She finally went for the head and cut it off, but it wasn't over, the demon grabbed its head and swam away when a warship approached. A cannon pointed at it and shot, releasing a net that caught it and pulled it in.

"Your majesty, they found another escaped demon," a man wearing a black Chinese robe approached the throne.

"How many has that been?" The King put a pin back in her hair, "six, seven, eight?"

"It seems Daji's promise to cause chaos was fulfilled. She broke the contracts for several demons and they've been making a mess of our trading center. Perhaps killing her made things worse."

"I made my decision, Xuerui."

"Of course, your majesty," Xuerui then looked to the window as a pebble hit the window. It fell but rose to continue to hit the window. "Should I open it?"

"I will allow it," the King grabbed her fan and unfolded it in front of her face.

Xuerui used his power to open the window and the pebble entered. It was followed by several more and a powerful windstorm blew away the flowers. "She's here, she's here."

"Who is here?" The King asked.

"The Master of Chaldea, she's arrived in China."

"What is so special about this human girl? Sure, she killed Laverna, but Rome was bound to fail. Just as Russia did."

"Capture her and bring her to me, if you don't, your demon problem will be much worse."

The wind left through the window and left Xuerui to repair the damages it caused. The King laid back on her throne and sighed, she had been dealing with outsiders ever since the demon fox Daji died. One was a servant from the seventh realm who refused to go home until the people she was targeting was gone. The last time she showed up in the throne room, she left behind a bunch of crystals that Xuerui spent hours cleaning up and having to listen to the same message on a loop.
