"Kirsh, where did you put my tumbler?" A woman opened the drawers and cabinets and put her silver hair in a ponytail. "I need it for my coffee."
"It's on the table and I already filled it," he pointed to the table.
"Thanks, sweetie," she kissed him. "I'll be home by seven with dinner, do you want me to pick up anything?"
"I'm fine with whatever you get."
"You're too easy, love you." She stopped before she ran out the door, "and don't use all the flour baking again, we don't need another tower of pancakes."
"Good luck at work, love you!" He waited until he heard her car leave to make a call. "Marisbury, this better be important."
"Sir," Marisbury paused when a crash was heard. "There are some complications with the machine."
"What kind of complications?"
"If this continues we will have to abandon this mission. It's too risky, you could..."
"Fix it," Kirschtaria's tone was harsh. "I gave you a simple order and failure is not an option, fix the machine."
"Is this mission that important? You're putting your life in grave danger!"
"I don't want to hear it, do as I say, or else you'll regret pissing me off." He hung up before another call got his attention. He saw who it was and composed himself before answering, "it's rare to hear from you, what do you need?"
Carmen woke up feeling overwhelmed, she hadn't seen a king like Eros before. He was confident, arrogant, and seemed stronger than the others. She explained to the others what she saw in the dream, he used his power as the king to pull in other lands and merge them into Greece's territory. Helena mentioned that China was the same way, Japan was next to it instead of across the sea. That information made Chaldea wonder what else the kings could do, it seemed their power shifted depending on their personality and the land they ruled over.
Carmen picked up the phone to call Yu, but decided to leave her alone, she had enough anxiety over the group being in Greece without her. Nero saw the hesitation on the mage's face and went to ask what was wrong, Carmen shook her head, it was nothing, she was thinking and let it get to her. The eighth quarter was crowded, even though it was morning, the people were gathering around stalls, and children were wandering in the park. Unlike the other quarters, the people weren't scared when a statue of the gods turned to see them. Instead, they waved back. The statues moved to their original positions, and the people moved on as if that were the norm.
One person who caught Carmen's eye was a woman in Japanese clothing. With long pink hair in twin tails, a large bow, and a blue dress, she was Tamamo no Mae. And she was heading in Chaldea's direction. Curious about what brought the travelers to Greece, she checked them out. She seemed different as well, she was missing the fox ears and tail that Carmen was familiar with when Ritsuka summoned her. However, before the mage could ask, she ran off when one of the guards called her name, she wasn't finished with her inspection yet. She showed the guard her card and didn't stick around long enough for them to ask more questions. From how it looked, she was investigating the eighth quarter as well.
Upon Helena's suggestion, the group headed to the library. It was getting loud as the day progressed, and they wanted to gather their thoughts. As it stood, gaining the people's trust was going to be hard, and that was when Nero noticed how freely Tamamo was walking around and talking to people. Despite not wearing Greek attire, she was welcomed. She glanced over to Nero when she felt she was being watched and headed over to the library. She wasn't confused or wary of them; she knew they were coming. She pointed at her eye, she had a mystic eye that gave her the ability to bond with people and they told her about Chaldea's arrival.
