"Can someone explain to me how it is that you have been failing so spectacularly to kill a group as insignificant as Chaldea?" The goddess leaned her head on her hand.
"If you ask me, it was because that undead freak couldn't keep his filthy hands away from other people's business," the king on a marble throne said.
"Hypocrite," a woman spun spider webs between her fingers. "You and the mummy were all over assimilating other countries. You have no place to talk."
"Anyone know where the nutty purist is?" The girl threw her tablet to a knight in black armor. "I'm so bored."
The goddess slammed her fist on the table to shut them up, "he's not coming. Apparently, he's too busy with the Platted Knight to come anymore."
The ship to Greece was ready in the evening, it was a missionary vehicle with the symbol of three wind blades circling one another that was going to take them to their destination and then return to help with the transportation of Egypt's people into their temporary home. According to Cleopatra, Greece would shoot down an Egyptian ship in seconds, so she requested one from Caligo. A realm whom Greece barely spoke to and seemed to be on good terms with. She was lucky that they had a small ship to hold Chaldea and that it wasn't doing too much due to its size.
Carmen tapped on the system to find it was locked, and it had a message for her on a sticky note: "I'm watching you, Chaldea, so don't do anything funny," marked with the signature of the White Bishop. He was a tempered man, that was for sure. Carmen sat in the passengers' seats to wait for the ship to register Chaldea was present to begin its journey.
Abhimanyu peered out the window as he touched the window, he had to leave Shrutakarma with the medical team in Egypt. He hoped it would be alright; the team promised him that they'd take care of Shrutakarma and gave him their phone number for him to call if he was curious. He leaned on the backboard of his seat as the ship took off, it slowly ascended into the sky and took off, soaring into the crimson clouds. The ocean even had a red glow to it, making it remind the former prince of India's sunsets. He had to admit that he was homesick, he was missing India, though he knew that Chaldea needed him. He had the god-killing cannon after all.
Tutankhamun kept his eyes off the others; he wasn't sure what to say to them. He tightened his jacket to cover the bandages on his chest and crossed his legs, mimicking the confidence that Cleopatra had as she scrolled through her phone. He was wearing a black suit that the White Bishop provided for him to get out of the rags he was wearing as the king. He wanted to blend in with the new era of clothing, Egypt was trapped in the past and it was a hard change. Many people held up the new clothes and were confused about what to do, they were so used to wearing rags that they had no idea how to wear suits or dresses.
It had probably been a week since they left Egypt and they were approaching Greece, however, there was a problem. A large wall made of marble was standing in their way, decorated with the statues of the gods that slowly shifted to face the ship. They scanned the wind symbol and opened the gate, recognizing it as a friendly vessel. That alone gave Carmen the creeps, the security was strict and after seeing another ship get blasted for registering as hostile, she knew how dangerous it was going to be. The loading zone was also a nightmare, there were soldiers gathered all over the premises, checking the ships, and taking anyone suspicious to see the king.
One of the soldiers was gazing at Carmen when she left the ship, her Egyptian clothing made her look like a traveler, but it also brought the question of what she was doing in Greece. News had already spread about Egypt being under construction and the people being moved during it, so to find someone freely traveling was strange. Not only that, but the other members of Chaldea were also from realms that fell. The soldier stood with his staff by his side, he was intimating despite not saying a word to Chaldea. He scanned the group and was curious as to why they were all from different realms and requested they go with him.
