"Is Carmen alright?" Akko asked.

"She's a bit shocked but she'll be fine," Mitra patted Carmen's head. "What about you, doctor?"

"I've been checking Sun's condition, he's immune to the red fog, just like Daji is." Akko showed Mitra a chart showing the report, both Sun and Daji had the same numbers in many categories. "The fog affects the demon brain and changes it... have you ever seen a zombie movie?"

"Uh... a what?"

"They're a popular movie type, probably not accurate to this world since you've met a zombie... anyway, it's usually a virus or bacteria that gets into the human brain and turns them into mindless eaters."

Mitra simply stared at the doctor, "the hell kind of movies are you into?"

"That is not a question you want answered." Akko lifted the paper to the next page, "this is Ibuki's record. I compared it to the others to see if she matched."

"Does she?"

"No, if she steps into the red fog, she'll become a monster." He showed Mitra the numbers compared to Sun and Daji; they were lower. "I am curious about Yuki Onna though, you said that she was fine as well."

Akko went back to his room as Mitra joined the others who were sitting at the table eating. Yu was feeling better, and able to walk around on her own. She sipped her tea and told Mitra to join them. There were a few things for them to go over. Aka Manto arrived at the palace not long after they left and was put on guard duty, he was seen pacing around the gates and throwing rocks at birds, meaning he was conscious. He didn't seem to care about Douma's orders and was caught slacking off many times.

Another matter was to speak with the other demon hunters who arrived. They were Yun Shouping, a rider with black hair tied in a long braid, green eyes, a black dress, and red flowers in her hair. Lin Chong, a lancer with short black hair, grey eyes, silver armor, and a black long-sleeved shirt, red pants, and a white hat that he held indoors. And finally, Kublai Khan, a rider with silver hair, golden eyes, and a black Chinese uniform with a white cloak over his shoulders. Lin wasn't happy to see Yu, staring her down as she ignored him, however, his glare didn't cease, and he finally got up and left the room. He hated Yu, believing her to be a traitor since she stayed on the council after Xiang Yu's death.

The final matter was about Douma himself, with Yuki Onna protecting him and Aka Manto hanging around the castle, the issue got more challenging. The other demon hunters whispered among one another; they would take care of Aka Manto, surely one demon wasn't that much of a hassle. That left Chaldea, Sun, and Daji to take care of Douma. Ashwatthama stood from his seat as well, he wanted to go. Ibuki had the doctor to take care of her, so he wasn't needed in the castle. However, she stopped the group before they got too far out the door. She wanted to speak to Sun, taking the young demon by the hand, she twisted his arm and threw him to the side. She dusted her hands off one another and looked at him, he wasn't ready to face Douma.

He was going to stay behind and train with her. If he wanted to fight Douma he had to train, he had to think as demons did. Ibuki summoned her sword and took him to the gardens; she hit him with the flat side of her sword, his stance was off, his technique was weak, and he wasn't using any magic. She circled him, from how he looked, he was a trickery demon, a type that enjoyed playing with their enemies and had a fighting style close to a berserker. They were known for being annoying and angering an enemy enough to make a slip, they could pop up at any time and attack or simply disappear again. With that in mind, Ibuki organized a plan for him, but she also warned him, enemies with higher concentration were unaffected by trickery demons. Xuerui was an example, if Sun ever met the ambassador again, he was to run.
