"Congratulations Chaldea," Nitocris cheered when the group returned to the train.

"Are we going back to the capital now?" Carmen asked.

"We'll be at the entrance in two days, as for the weapons, you can leave them with me." She pointed at the table.

"I think we'd like to ask that machine about them first, we'd like to know how to use them before we do anything else." Carmen walked past Nitocris and she felt the caster's distaste for her decision. She wasn't going with the plan. Although, Nitocris let her go.

The machine scanned the shield, staff, and bow. "You guys are serious about fighting the king."

"I want to save Egypt, and this is the only way to do it."

"You'll do some damage with these weapons..."

"Are you saying that they're not enough?"

"Their power output is weak now, but if you combine them, then you should be good. One strike to break his armor, and a second to destroy his body. Just like the Silver Fortress did."

"I have another question," Carmen stopped the machine before it turned itself into sleep mode. "Why did he stop? If he used his cannon a second time, he could've killed Tutankhamun."

"How do you know about that?" The machine was surprised to hear Carmen knew about the battle between the Silver Fortress and Tutankhamun. "There's a limit to everything, for him, it was ten minutes. He told me that was all the time he had until his mana drained and he'd be out for the count. And if that happened on the battlefield, he'd be killed by the king."

"Is that how he died?"

"I don't know, no one knows how the Silver Fortress died. If we did, maybe we'd know what to do next."

Carmen held the shield in her offhand, she was debating what to do with it. According to the machine, if she gave it to Nitocris, the caster would melt it down with the others to create a greater weapon, and if she kept it, she would have a shield to use in battle. Cleopatra joined her at the table, the assassin had doubts about the trip back to the capital, they were entering enemy territory where King Tutankhamun had the people under his control. One wrong step meant their deaths, and that scared her. She admitted that she was the one who killed him, or she thought she killed him. When she saw him take the throne, she knew she was in trouble. She was sure she'd be executed when she stepped into the castle.

What surprised her was that he kept her alive, and she wasn't sure why. He let her walk all over him, insult him, annoy him in her free time, and test his limits of how long he could handle her as a nuisance. She just had to know if the man sitting on the throne was Tutankhamun, or if it was someone else using his body. And seeing him ignore her made her think it was the latter. That was beside the point, Cleopatra pointed at Carmen, the mage had a decision to make. She had to choose sides, she was either with the former council or with Nitocris. Even though they had the same goal, Cleopatra didn't trust Nitocris.

Carmen also had doubts; the caster was sneaky, and she wanted to do things her way. She was going to keep the weapons in their raw form and see if that made a dent in the king's armor. If they didn't, then she'd melt them down. Cleopatra leaned back into the chair, crossing her arms while nodding. That sounded like a fair assessment of the situation without jumping to whatever Nitocris was planning.

"Master," Nitocris said, sorrow in her tone. "Is what we're doing right? Are we the heroes?"

"We are doing everything we can to save Egypt," there was no hesitation or question in his words.

"Then, why does this feel so wrong?" She slammed her hand on the table, "I'm keeping secrets! I'm lying! I'm hurting people..."

"I'm aware, and I'm sorry. This is the only way to stop Tutankhamun, we need the power of those weapons. Nitocris, we need Chaldea."
