"Who are you?" A boy stood over Carmen, he had dark curly hair, and blue eyes, and wore a scarf that turned into a hood and covered his head. The clothing on his body was tight and only covered his core, with his arms and legs open. He stared at the group, curious as to why they were in his forest.

"Carmen... Carmen Annuska..." she responded.

"The visitor... Ridotto said you were coming... Kaguya was worried.... but you seem so... harmless."

Carmen tried to catch the boy before he jumped away, his hair spread out to show how the ends turned into spider legs. He clung to the treetops and stood on a stable branch. "He's... a spider."

"I am Anansi, the spider god."

"At least he's not a building," Yu sighed. "Which will make this easier."

"Do you think?" Anansi vanished into the darkness, "let's play a game, if you can find me, then I will give you clues on how to escape. If you don't, you will die here. Please play fair, the last people I played with cheated, and I had to kill them."

"If this is a game, what are the rules?" Mitra asked.

"No flying, no burning the trees, and no asking for outside help."

"Is teleportation, okay?" Akko wondered.

"I don't think it'll help you, but sure." Anansi was heard rustling through the leaves, "one last thing. Monsters lurk within the darkness at night, you're allowed to kill them if they pose a threat."

Anansi's voice was gone, leaving Chaldea alone in the forest.

Yu marked a tree with an X to indicate that they had been in the area, she figured that if they were going to stay in a dense forest, it would be better if they didn't get lost. She kept doing so as they looked for Anansi. The first time wasn't hard, they found him in a lair of webs, and he gave them a torn piece of paper that had some drawings of the forest with red lines leading to an unknown place. It was a map to the exit of Anansi's floor.

Anansi told them that he was going to be in the next area and not to look in places they had already checked. He left his nest and Helena took some time to see the webbing. It was stronger than normal spider webs, and stickier. When Nero tried to cut it, she found it got stuck and had to pull with all her might to get it off. And unluckily, the next area was covered in thick webs. Some belonged to him while others were made by normal spiders.

Pushing aside a large leaf, Carmen jumped when a spider slung down in front of her face. Akko caught her, right before he slid on a rock and sent them both into the mud. They got back up slowly and shook off the digital mud, finding it disappeared when they left the puddle. Continuing, Chaldea found themselves surrounded by monsters. Akko ran to the back with Helena and Carmen as the others took on the enemies.

Yu had no trouble slashing each monster, it was as if Anansi was making it easy on them. Knowing they had to deal with the maze-like forest and spider webs in their way. Nero took out the last one and it fell to the floor, shattering like glass and revealing its code before it was gone. She sheathed the silver sword and wiped the sweat off her forehead, and then turned to see Anansi. He said that since he went to them, it didn't count.

But he did warn them. Kaguya was back and she seemed angry, she was told to up security and make it harder for intruders to get out. And she heard about Ridotto's death, which also meant she was looking for Chaldea. Part of her wanted to meet them, while the other part wanted to see them dead before they reached her. Anansi shrugged; he made a deal with them before her rule was in place, so he wasn't going to do anything about it. He waved and left, getting back to his game.
