"I'd like you to meet my friends!" Ophelia shoved two people in front of her. "This is Sofitia, one of the finest doctors in Caligo, and Lucy, my partner in crime."
"Hi..." Sofitia waved, showing a bit of shyness around the group. The doctor was strange, having long blonde hair with a white undertone, a black cloak over a black dress, and one crimson eye showing with the other covered.
"I'm not happy about this..." Lucy was irritated, crossing her arms as she didn't want to give Chaldea any eye contact. She had long white hair, a short black dress, wore a black cloak with feathers at the top, and had golden boots on. The part that had Mitra staring at her was her eyes, the right was silver and the left was golden. She stared back at him and stuck out her tongue.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Carmen," Carmen waved. "This Mitra, Laurine, Van, Galatea, and Abhi."
"Abhimanyu is my full name, but she calls me 'Abhi', I don't mind either one." Abhimanyu flitted with his fingers.
"See? Everyone's friends now!" Ophelia shook Sofitia as a sign of excitement. "Anyway, let's get to the festival! We'll be there right when it starts. Does everyone have what they need?"
Abhimanyu raised his hand, "I thought we all had to wear white."
"Make me wear white, and I'll punch you," Lucy got in his face and glared at him.
"Stop that," Ophelia pushed her aside. "It said black or white."
The group looked at Carmen who flipped through the book, "oh, it does. Sorry."
"Come on! It's time to go!" Ophelia charged off with Sofitia and Lucy in her grasp. "Let's be nice and not try to pick a fight with every enforcer we come across... Lucy."
"I hate you, so much." Lucy dug her feet into the ground to make it harder.
"No, you don't!"
Ophelia held a map that had a sticker on it for where the festival was, she showed it to Carmen and tapped on a road, they were taking a shortcut to get to town faster. It was dangerous, so Lucy had twin swords out. She slashed a monster that was getting close and stared down the enforcer that was chasing it, the enforcer floated away to let Lucy take care of the group, and she kept her swords up. Mitra got Carmen's attention, he felt something was off about Lucy. She was more than a normal swordsman. She was powerful, her strength was close to a servant's, and the way she held herself was closer to a guardian than a friend to Ophelia.
She pointed her sword at an enforcer that got too close to Ophelia and it flew away to deal with monsters as Ophelia grabbed her arm, telling her that picking a fight with the enforcers would get them killed. She took her arm back and went ahead to deal with the monsters, making sure to avoid a conflict. Sofitia pulled Ophelia aside, the doctor was getting nervous about how tight the spaces were getting, holding Ophelia's arm as the two walked through the forest. The three were a strange group of friends; Ophelia was the leader, Lucy was the attacker, and Sofitia was the support. Although, Lucy was different from the other two personality-wise: strict, confident, and battle-ready.
She had her twin swords by her side while her teammates didn't hold any weapons nor used magic. She stood firm when she heard running; a girl with dark blue hair and a purple undertone ran into her, the girl glanced back and pushed her aside to escape the enforcers. Carmen was about to help, but Ophelia stopped her. The girl's orb was black, meaning the enforcers were chasing a criminal. Carmen wondered what a young girl did to be judged as such by the people, she was getting the idea that the judgment system was unfair after watching someone die over petty theft, so perhaps it wasn't as foolproof as advertised.
An enforcer floated over to the group when they reached the gate; it checked their orbs, took the tickets from Ophelia, and let them pass. The town was beautifully decorated, covered in banners with a symbol of crystals, and filled with stands selling trinkets to the people. Ophelia waved goodbye to Chaldea to wander with Sofitia and Lucy, leaving them to split to check out the festival. Mitra went with Carmen who was interested in a few charms that resembled the god Q'yth-Az. They were made with some materials found in the garden and crafted by hand. The vendor explained that Xiatian's technology wasn't as advanced as other realms and everything was done by hand.
