Liuvigild raised a large fish from the river, it had sparkling scales, four eyes, and fins that looked like butterfly wings. He put it in a basket he made and kept trying to grab for more. He pulled out another one as Liuva watched, he was intrigued by their color and dragged the basket back to the inn. Yu was shocked to see that all he had brought was fish since the others had brought old tiles, plants, and some gemstones. She watched him take an empty basket to look for more fish. Helena walked in and put down her basket, she then sat next to Yu. It was hot, smoldering even, and probably a lot for Yu to take in. Besides that, the sun was glistening on them all day, making it hard for her to go outside.

"You're going to drive your sister crazy," Mitra pointed to Liuva who was tapping her book as she watched her brother grab yet another fish from the river.

"Sorry, after Spain fell to Egypt..." Liuvigild held the fish on his lap and rubbed it. "We fled... we didn't have anywhere to go besides Rome, and we stayed in a fishing town. I... got used to getting as much as possible while my sister worked."

"Can you tell me about Egypt?"

"A desert land on the surface," Liuvigild put the fish away and drew dunes in the dirt. Behind them were pyramids on the scale of mountains, taller than anything Rome had ever built. And below them, a tunnel system that even he couldn't understand led right into a massive city. "An empire underground built by the King and the gods to protect them against threats."

"Threats?" Mitra sat down with him. "Caligo?"

"Greece," Liuvigild covered the drawing of Egypt and started drawing one big city, from there, many more branched out. "It's a land filled with others after it pillaged the rest of the world, taking the major cities and leaving behind barren wastes."

"What can you tell me about the rest of the world?"

"Sorry, I don't know much..."

Liuvigild went back to fishing and grabbed an undersized fish from the river, and Mitra returned to gathering materials as well. He saw how the girls had a competition with one another, Carmen was trying to get herbs, Nero was hunting boars, and Helena was after one of the tall trees for its fruit. He entered an old house where he found bright shells glistening in the sun, he picked up a few and saw how the shells were decorated with small gemstones. He gently put them in his basket and returned to Yu, who was busy cooking the fish Liuvigild kept sending back. She had a small fire going with large leaves wrapped around the fish. She sprinkled spices on it and turned it after a few minutes passed.

She was surprised by Mitra, almost jumping when he knocked on the wall to notify her. She took a second to calm down and told him to put the basket with the others. Then she took the fish off the fire and placed it on the table, she had been cooking for lunch since she didn't have much to do. The others were busy competing to see who was going to bring back the most at the end of the day, meaning only Liuvigild was checking in with her. Mitra was intrigued with some of the work Yu was doing, she took a few shells and made them into decorations to put in her room later, she looked to be making chocolate with the cocoa beans Liuva found and was upgrading her daggers with some metal found in the buildings.

Mitra found a bowl where a slime was being held, it tried to climb out, but fell down the slippery walls and swished at the bottom. It entered through the small gap under the door and was after the herbs she was keeping. Slimes were known for being easy sources of food in any realm; some farmers kept them in pens and fed them healthy herbs then later turned them into a delicacy. She dropped a leaf and let it dissolve into the slime, after a week or so of that process, it would be ready to eat. Mitra shivered, slimes didn't exist in the world he was from, and he didn't like the idea of eating one. Not with its slimy texture.
