Dog races ahead with me following trying to keep myself together. Can't break down. Not how. Magna and Yumiko two of the survivors that Michonne brought to Hilltop are behind me. Michonne is behind them supporting Eugene. Dad and Aaron are bringing up the rear with Jesus' body.

"Who the hell would do this? Even think about doing this?" Yumiko asks and I look back to see her handing the mask off to Magna. "I suspect some vessel filled with a chunky salsa of abnormal impulses and metastasized rage."

"It's full on batshit," Magna sums up and I have to agree. Covering yourself in walker guts is one thing, doing what Michonne did is another, but wearing dead people's skin. And not just that wearing their rotten skin is just... ugh, so wrong. "So, what do we do?" Yumiko asks when we make it to the yard we left the horses in.

Magna and I knock down the fence, heading for the horses. "Right now, keep moving," Michonne answers and I quickly pull myself up into my saddle. We get moving with Michonne and Dad walking in front. Yumiko and Magna behind them on one horse. Aaron put Jesus on his horse and is leading him by the reins while Eugene with his bad leg is on Jesus' horse.

"I wish I'd met him before. Sounds like he was a good one," Magna pipes up and we glance over at her. "He was," I say and stroke Hurricane's neck. "It's my fault. If I hadn't-"

"Jesus made his own decisions," Aaron quickly cuts Eugene off. "We all knew the risks of being out here. Knowin' we shouldn't be. Maybe what happened was bound to happen." It wasn't, I think to myself.

Dog starts barking and I look over, spotting some walkers. "We got some tails," Magna states and we slow our horses down. "The living kind or original recipe?" Eugene asks and Dad looks at Michonne. "Let's find out." She nods and we head towards them. "Good dog."

We get off our horses, leaving Eugene and Aaron back to protect them. I follow behind Dad, wincing at the throbbing pain in my arm from that knife. Damn skin freaks. They head over a bridge and Dad and I go around to meet them on the other side.

Yumiko, Magna, and Michonne will go to the other end to keep them from escaping. I pull my sword from its sheathe since I don't want to strain my arm holding up my crossbow. I check each of the walkers as Dad prepares to fire, seeing if I could spot any differences. He fires a bolt and it pierces the first walker's upper thigh, but it continues shambling towards us.

Dead. He pulls the cord back and slips another bolt into place, lifting it back up to aim. He fires at the one in the middle and immediately the walker cries out in pain and collapses to the ground. Alive. The three walkers around him shuffle over and begin eating him alive.

I see one at the end begin backing away with the taller one beside them doing the same. They're alive. I spot another one turning around as Michonne and the others show up. I see one pull a knife and they rush at each other. Michonne cuts the arm holding the knife off before stabbing him through the chest.

Yumiko and Magna take out the walkers feasting and the one they were eating. Dad and I rush over to the last two remaining which had pulled knives from their sleeves. "Drop it!" Dad orders the one in the purple sweater. The taller one makes a move, but I point my sword at him. "Don't." I look through the mask and see two blue eyes underneath.

They looked determined and unafraid. "Drop your weapon." The other one drops the knife and gets to their knees with their hands raised. The one I'm staring down sighs and presses the button on the hilt causing the blade to disappear into the handle. It's an automatic knife, like a stiletto, but with a broader blade.

He gets down and drops the weapon onto the bridge with a thud. I kneel down and grab it since it's a beautiful knife, and slip it into my jean pocket. I look at the one in the purple sweater as they gasp fearfully. Dad reaches forward and yanks the mask off revealing a young girl with a dirty face.
