After a few hours of walking we take a break and settle down to eat and refresh. I watch happily as Maggie and Glenn hug, Carl's feeding Judith. I look and see Kara staring into the sky with a sullen look. I follow her gaze and see her look at the smoke which has now turned white.
After a few we continue our walking. And then we rest again, I can already see a theme beginning to start. Carl offers me a bottle of water and I accept it happily. After taking a few swigs I return it to him.
When night falls we stop and Rick and some of the others help make a fire. I sit and look into the flames, mulling over the past few days. When it's time to settle down for the night Daryl and Carol go off to keep watch.
I use my jacket as a pillow. "Mind if I join you?" I look up and see Maggie, I laugh, scratching my forehead. "Like I got a choice." She laughs before laying down next to me. We talk for a few minutes before ending up drifting off to sleep.
I'm woken up by gentle nudging. I sit up and nod to my rouser. "How you feeling?"
"Like I'm carrying a small child inside my body." She shakes her head with a small smile before helping me up. And once again we continue our aimless wandering.
I'm walking behind Sasha and Bob, right beside Tyreese when they start doing this back and forth thing. "Uh, wet socks."
"Cool feet."
"Mosquito bites."
"Itching reminds you you're alive."
"Danger around every corner."
"Never a dull moment."
"The hot sun beating down on you."
"Come on, a glorious tan." Sasha looks up at him and he laughs as we continue walking. "I said it and I meant it."
"No privacy."
"Captive audience." Sasha smiles and they lean down and kiss each other and I smile, happy that they finally got together. "One more." Another kiss. "One more." Another before they finally stop and Bob goes on ahead. I laugh and Sasha turns to me.
"He's a damn expert at that."
"What was it?" I ask her as we match our pacing. "A little game. Good out of the bad."
"Ooh, sounds like a game you'd be good at, Kris." I look back at Carl, sticking my tongue out at him, he does the same and I hear Rick's laughter. Our good mood is cut short when we hear a man start screaming for help.
"Help! Help, anybody! Help!"
"Dad, come on." Rick stares down at his son as the man screams. "Come on! Come on."
"Anyone, help! Help!" Rick nods before rushing off with the rest of us in toe. We run and all the while the man's screaming for help. I look and see a black man on a high rock surrounded by walkers. Carl pulls out his gun and shoots one.
I do the same with my pistol. Carol knifes one, Rick slams a walker's head into the rock, and Michonne slams the butt of her assault rifle into its head. "Whoa! Whoa!" One's coming towards Carol and Daryl shoots it with his crossbow and then goes to retrieve his bolt.
"We're clear. Keep watch." Rick looks up at the terrified man. "Come on down." He slowly inches over and then jumps down. I look at him. "You okay?" I ask and he holds up a finger before puking. Everyone looks at him and it's written all over their faces. This guy is a noob to the apocalypse.
"Sorry. Yes. Thank you. I'm Gabriel." I just now realize what he's wearing, he's a priest. "Do you have any weapons on you?" Gabriel chuckles and looks down at himself. "Do I look like I would have any weapons?"
