I look down at the blood staining Kara's shirt and step forward. Her eyes are wide and filled with fear. I reach out and grab onto the material of her shirt, I quickly pull it away and look down at the skin on the crook of her neck.

My entire body goes limp with relief when I see it's only a few scratches, they look nasty, but it's a thousand times better than a bite. "Come on, we should get her to the Hilltop." I nod and pull Kara to me as we walk, following after him.

We arrive at the Hilltop just as the sun disappears from the sky. I hug Morgan and thank him again for escorting us. The gate opens as Morgan begins walking away. "Kristina!" I look and see Dean jogging over to me. "Hey!" I wrap my arm around him.

"Sorry, I disappeared the other day, didn't know you'd be disappearing for a while yourself."

"Yeah, I went to the Kingdom."

"I heard. I'm just glad you're back. And what happened to you, Kara?"

"Walker scratched me."

"Oh, well we should have something for that. Come on, I'll take you to Dr. Carson." Kara smiles and follows him to Dr. Carson's trailer. I smile, watching them go. It seems all Dean needed was to get out of that compound, he already seems like his old self.

I walk into the Hilltop and the gate closes behind me. I look and see Maggie teaching knife throwing. I smile and think back to when we were teaching Kara at the prison. Seems like it was only yesterday when before it felt like years ago.

Maggie looks over and sees me. She says a few words to Enid before walking over. "Hey, welcome back!" I grin and wrap my arms around her. "I missed you." She laughs and looks up at me. "So, I see you and Daryl still aren't good terms, given the fact that you arrived separately."

"I'm working on it. Don't worry." She nods and I notice a man walking past with a bow and quiver. "Hey?" He stops and turns to look at me. "Can I borrow that?" He looks down at his bow and smiles, chuckling. "Sure, why not." He slips the quiver off along with his bow and holds them out to me.

"Thanks." He nods and walks away. "What're you going to do with that?!" Maggie asks, clearly amused. "Target practice. Can you have Sasha watch Shawn?"

"I'll do you one better. I'll watch him, gotta start practicing somewhere." I smile, I had said something similar when we were all at the church where we found Gabriel. I hand him over and she cradles him in her arms, supporting his head with her hand.

"Thanks, Mags." She rolls her eyes and I laugh before walking away and setting up a target. When I'm ready I plant my feet and pull an arrow out of the quiver, notching it. I pull back on the string, lifting the bow up a little higher.

"You're pulling it too far back, ya know?" I glance and see Dean beside me, a playful look in his eyes. "Oh, really?"

"Yeah, here." He moves to my other side and grabs my arm, gently having my arm move forward until the arrow is resting against my cheek. "Okay, now focus on your target and when you're ready, hold your breath and let loose."

I focus on the middle of the log I'm using for a target, I take a deep breath before holding it, causing the bow to steady and I let go. The arrow shoots forward and makes a thunk as it embeds itself into the bark.

I laugh and lower the bow, looking over at Dean. "I did it! Thanks!"

"No, problem."

"Where'd you learn how to shoot a bow?"

"Picked up a few things during my time on my own."

"Very cool." Dean's eyes dart to space behind me and he focuses back on me. "Hey, keep practicing, that could've been just a lucky shot." I scoff and shake my head. "Yeah, right!" He shrugs before walking away. I turn back to the target and pull another arrow out of the quiver.
