BOOK 1: The Heir Series; Choi Seungcheol

4: THE FIGHT

"Uwaaah! Why did I fell asleep early last night when we have a test early in the morning?!" Shin said, obviously annoyed about the said exam they took few minutes ago.

"You can do well next time, Shin." Taerin said. "There are still many ------" She didn't finish what she was supposed to say when someone blocked their way.

"Look. . . Taerin, I think I need to go first. I'll see you at class." And that's how Shin left her. Who would not run away when the one and only cold and arrogant Jeon Wonwoo is standing in front of you?!

"Here." The lazy feeling can be sense on Wonwoo's voice while giving her a box of expensive chocolates. "It's from Hyung. Again."

She rolled her eyes. "Return that to him." She walks past him. But still, Wonwoo followed her.

"Nope. I'll be dead meat if I'll return this again to him." He said at her back. No sign of being afraid in his voice but just plain laziness.

She can feel stares at them coming from their ever-loyal spectators so she faced Wonwoo again and directly grab the box of chocolates on his hand. "Happy now?" Then she walked again.

She's not really intimidated by Wonwoo. He might be cold and arrogant but she always sees him helping people in pure difficulties. And of course, Wonwoo respects his older brother so much, especially, Seungcheol as the oldest.

Seungcheol is already at college and Taerin is on her last year in middle school that's why they're apart now. Well, it favored them more since it's better than having so many eyes watching their every move if they're together.

After the day she confessed her true feelings, she didn't have the chance to get it back. Seungcheol didn't give her the chance to do so. There, she ended up being his girlfriend - but she was not even sad about it. Honestly, she was even happy about her decision.

She's even wondering how they manage to stay this long. She always waits for that heartbreaking moment where Seungcheol will break up with her and tell her she's not the girl he wanted to be with. That she's way different from what he's hoping her to be. But Seungcheol even graduated middle school and they stayed together, their relationship stronger.

But now, she's angry with him since he had committed a sin to her. And up until now, he is still not showing himself to her. He always give her flowers, chocolates, stuffed toys and more but it was Wonwoo, Junhui, Soonyoung or Jihoon who's giving them to her on his behalf.

She eyed the box of chocolates in her hands. It was her favourite chocolates and Seungcheol would only give her that when he knows he did something that would disappoint her.

She opened the trash can at the corner of the hallway and let the chocolate fall inside. She can still clearly remember why she's angry with him.

One week ago. . .

Taerin was overly excited since their prom is fast approaching but that doesn't make her less nervous. Everytime she remembers what Seungcheol said that he'll be her partner for that night, she always think of what might the people say about them.
