"Ma'am are you going home now?" Stacey asked her as she cleans up the papers on her table. She even saw Vanessa's secretary looking at her wrist watch. It was only three in the afternoon and yet she was preparing to leave, even if it's still not time to go home.
She hurriedly wiped the tears in her eyes before turning to Vanessa's secretary. "Just take charge for now, Stacey. Tell Vanessa I left early if she comes back, okay?"
"Okay, Ma'am." She nodded but the lady never left her side. "Ahm . . . Ma'am, are you okay?" She asked obviously worried about her.
She stopped momentarily before turning to her to give her a smile. She wanted to say she's okay, but she can't. She will not only lie to Stacey but also to herself. She wanted herself to believe she's okay, she's fine and she's not hurting. But her face is saying the opposite and even the tears in her eyes.
She sighed and went back to cleaning her desk. "I'm just not feeling well. So I'll just go home and rest." That's what she answered her.
"Oh my. You're not feeling well, Ma'am. I'll be the one to clean everything up Ma'am. You can go home and rest." Stacey pulled the papers and folders from her and arranges them on her table.
"Are you sure?"
She nodded. "This is easy. And you need to rest, Ma'am. You can't get sick for our grand event."
Her senses pricked up at what she said. "You're right." She said frowning. She has a lot of things to do, stuff and business to think of. For a while there, she almost forgot about her other responsibilities.
She has been preparing for this moment; she's going to have another opportunity to let the world see her creations. She wanted to showcase the skills she honed for years. And she needs to do it for her Mom and Aunt, their gratefulness and gratitude for what they has done to her and given her. That's the moment she could do all of it.
But could she do that with Seungcheol being like this?
She just stared at her window where she could see a full view of Seoul. Everywhere she looked, there's light and bright – as if telling her to trust and to hold on. To believe that everything will be okay and turn out fine that she could do all of it.
She closed her eyes and in the darkness, she heard Seungcheol's voice . . .
"I love you, Taerin Dominique. No matter what happen, just remember that."
No matter what happen . . .
Even if he's giving her cold shoulder and icy stare?
She believed him, no doubt. Seungcheol loves her and she can fully feel it. But now, if Seungcheol would tell her that with his blank expression, would she still believe him?
Of course . . . She answered her own mind.
