BOOK 1: The Heir Series; Choi Seungcheol

2: PAST

"Taerin-ah! Kim Taerin!" Called one of her classmates whose name was Shin.

She is too occupied with writing her notes. That's what she does when their teachers are not around, just like now. She is transferring her notes to make it clean and that she will have a motivation to study when the paper is clean and also to retain more knowledge about the lectures.

"Taerin-ah!" Shin called her again.

"What do you want this time, Shin?" She eyed her for a while then get back on her business.

"Someone is outside, looking for you."

"Who?" She asked, not even sparing her a glance.

"You know who." Hesitation is vivid in her voice but she came near her to whisper the exact words. "Choi Seungcheol."

She paused for a while but continued. "What does he want?"

"Dunno. You ask him. You are the one he's been looking for." Then Shin walked away.

She sighed and put down her pen. What does he need now? That guy didn't seem to be tired of following her.

She stands up and goes out of the classroom. There she saw, Choi Seungcheol who was casually leaning against the wall with his hands on his pants' pockets. And per usual, his looks can make any girl swoon over him. Yet she pushed away from the admiration that was building inside of her because if she'll let it grow, it will be hard for her. Too hard.

She immediately raised a brow when she caught him looking at her. "I don't have a gum right now." She directly said. Gum, it has always been the reason why Seungcheol always passes through their class just to look for her.

"I'm not asking for anything now." He said. Now what?

She sighed. "I don't have junk foods. I don't have drinks either."

Seungcheol just smiled and shake his head slowly. "I'm not looking for any type of food either."

"Then, you're not here to ask for a gum. Not for food either. So what now? Why are you looking for me?" Again. She throws her arms on her chest, crossing it. He doesn't need anything from her, so why is he here looking for her?

Now he stands straight and faced her. "First, I wanted to see you." He said raising a finger as if counting and he walked toward her. Then he flipped another finger. "Second, I am here to talk to you about something and I have many more reasons to be here but I'm afraid that I'll be caught by the bell when I state it all."

She stopped herself from smiling. It's SEUNGCHEOL! The eldest son of the Choi family, the owner of the biggest mansion at the center of their town, the Villa Seventeen. They are known to be one of the wealthiest families in the country. But their family also shares their own number of secrets. Like how come there are thirteen songs but have different surnames. Since it was all an old issue, no one talks about it now and becomes used to it seeing a few of the thirteen sons like Seungcheol as the oldest and the rest that is also studying here. They own all the shopping centers, hotels, and real estate properties. So basically, most of all that their eyes land on are owned by the Choi's - Simply, Carat Empire. Even this school is partly owned by them - Pledis Academy.
