Taerin was just standing right above the swamp of people enjoying her party when two strong arms wrapped around her waist.
"What are you doing here alone?" Said a deep sexy drawl behind her. She hid a smile. "It's your party. You're supposed to mingle and have fun."
She turned to face Seungcheol; his hands were still wrapped around her. "I'm having fun." She said with a shrug.
She saw his other collar crumped so she fixed it. Then she saw Seungcheol staring at her intently. She sighed. She can't hide anything from him. It's like he could see her very transparently. "It's just that this crowd isn't my crowd." His brow rose up. "Don't worry." She added. "I'll get used to it."
That's when Seungcheol smiled. He tightened his hug on her more. "You really look beautiful tonight." He whispered, his eyes sparkling, adoringly at her.
She felt her heart flutter. She remembered that day when they had lunch together with EunBi. She was so pissed with Seungcheol completely forgetting her presence.
Well, it's not like Seungcheol's not fully aware that she's there. It's just that EunBi has really the intention of not letting her join their conversations. She's mad because of the thought that Seungcheol has his own part of his world that only EunBi knows. That she can't enter that part of his world.
Taerin didn't like that – that there is a part in Seungcheol's life that she didn't have the knowledge and control over it. She doesn't want to feel like an outsider. She's Choi Seungcheol's wife and it's her right to be in every part of his world. She wanted to feel that she is his only Queen.
Maybe that's just how you feel if you love someone. You don't want his or her divided attention. You don't like someone intruding on your moments. Sometimes, love can make a person selfish.
"You're frowning." She came back to reality when she felt Seungcheol's warm palm on her forehead, stretching her knotted forehead. "What were you thinking, except me?" He asked.
Taerin laughed. "You're so sure that you're the one I'm thinking of, huh?"
Seungcheol didn't react. He was just looking at her, searching for her face. His stares on her were different causing her heart to beat erratically beneath her chest.
"Stop it." She told him.
"Stop what?" He asked confusedly.
"Stop looking at me like that."
"Like what?"
She sighed. "N-nothing."
His eyes soften. "That laugh. It reminds me of those times when you used to laugh like that."
Taerin found herself smiling even more. She reached out a hand to caress the side of his face. Seungcheol held it and kissed the back of her hand.
This feeling was new to her. If Seungcheol told her this before, she wouldn't smile like this and still feel happy about it. She might do something even crazy.
But it was different now that her feelings has changed – well, not really changed. Her feeling for Seungcheol didn't change or vanish. It just resurfaced and it was stronger and more intense than it was before.
Taerin was finishing off when she heard voices entering the ladies' room. She immediately smiles when she has familiarized herself with the voices.
"Hey, Yuri. Take things slowly."
It was Dane. She knew. She hurried off with what she was doing to get out of the cubicle fast.
"Good thing Hyungwon didn't lock you up with those heels of yours," Ash said.
