The bed was clean and well-made when Taerin woke up. The covers were neatly folded and the dextrose was no longer there.
She quickly jumped out of the couch; it's just when she realize the blanket that was covering her which she didn't remember using. She shook her head.
Seungcheol.
She stood up and left the room. She saw a servant cleaning the staircase as she's on her way down. "Where's Seungcheol?" She asked.
"He left early, Madame. He had an important thing to do, as he said."
Her brows met. "What? Why did you let him leave?"
"He s-said he c-can handle himself, M-madame."
She tugged her hair in frustration. "Why didn't you wake me up?"
The servant frowned. "S-sir got m-mad."
She sighed. She can't get angry at a servant just because they can't stop Seungcheol from leaving the house. With Seungcheol's temper, she knows exactly what they will be confronting.
She turned and came back to their room. She glared at the bed where Seungcheol laid. He didn't even wake her up. She doesn't even have any idea if he still has a fever or what does he look like when he woke up.
She sighed again. It's her fault too. She saw in deep sleep that she didn't notice him getting up.
That man shouldn't be out! A voice shouted in her mind. He has fever for God's sake! What if he suddenly lost consciousness? Or maybe she was just overreacting. Yet she can't get herself not to be worried. Everytime she remembers what happen last night, fear always wrapped around her.
She can't calm down so she got her phone and started calling him.
"Damn!" Seungcheol is not answering her calls. She called him again and made up to three rings but he isn't answering still. She was getting frustrated so she sent him a text message instead with the hope that he might read it.
Get back here! You are supposed to be in bed! You still have a fever. Have you forgotten?
She pressed send. And it didn't disappoint her. After a few seconds her phone beeped.
Don't worry. I'm all okay. See you later tonight.
I'll let Takashi pick you up.
She sighed. Well, at least he was feeling okay. He's a big boy. He can take care of hiself.
Yep! He's going to be fine, Taerin. He'll be fine. She kept telling herself as she looked herself a biscuit. She's starting to feel something in her stomach.
