35: FRONTING

Taerin just wants to slap someone at this instance.

Her mind went blank as she watches Seungcheol laughing at the stories being told by the intruder. Jang EunBi – her husband's bestfriend.

Their food was served minutes ago and they had started eating but she can't taste anything at the moment. The beef was too chewy and her jaw is numb from chewing too much so she tasted the other food.

"That was so funny, right?" EunBi exclaimed with such a happy laugh. "I also remember that one time when Soonyoung and Seokmin cried because Aunt BoA wouldn't buy them rollerblades. I should've taken a picture of them when they cried out loud."

They had been telling stories and reminiscing about their childhood since EunBi came and she's been smiling and laughing the whole time as she knows Seungcheol was attentively listening to her. And it seems like Seungcheol is having a great time having EunBi around that he practically forgot about her.

She didn't even have the chance to speak since EunBi sat with them. Taerin has been painfully mute since she came in and sat along with them uninvited.

At first, she's asking her, making her join the conversation. She asked her how is she, some basic questions, and how Seungcheol and she met, just for polite conversation. But after that, it was just the two of them talking. Seungcheol was sitting between them, but when EunBi tells him her stories, it was like she was not even there. Did she practically turn invisible so that the both of them can't see and even feel her presence?

Seungcheol tried to include her in their conversation, but eventually, she must've felt tired because she was not too informed about the moments Seungcheol and EunBi had together. She doesn't know if EunBi's trying to leave her out of their conversation or what, but that's what it looked like for her.

But why would she even do that? Is EunBi against her for her bestfriend?

And to make the matter even worse, Seungcheol was oblivious about it.

She then turned her attention to EunBi while she eats silently.

EunBi had long shiny black hair that fell around her chest. That's what you will notice first on her – her hair. It looked expensive. As if it's high maintenance. She also had this perfectly arched eyebrow, big chinky eyes, a long straight nose, high cheekbones, and small pinkish lips.

In short, she looked perfect and gorgeous. No wonder why she was ranked number two in Korea's Most Beautiful Faces. She saw it in one of the magazines where her name was highlighted. That was the first time she saw her face, on the cover of that magazine.

Aside from those, EunBi also had a perfect set of white teeth, musical laughter, candle-like fingers, polished nails, a slim figure, and a deep collar bone-a perfect model attribute.

How come Seungcheol never fell for this one with a beauty like that?

Somehow, that idle thought made her chest constricted.

She sighed. This was why she never wanted anything to do with a man the likes of Seungcheol. She fell for him before. She fell in love only to fall out of it.

And now, she can feel the abnormal beating of her heart and the butterflies inside her stomach every time she sees Seungcheol and when he's near her – even just by thinking of him alone – she's beginning to feel insecure again.

Women chase Choi Seungcheol like a lion hunting for prey. He drew them near him like a moth to a flame. And even Seungcheol was unaware, even if it's unintentional, women couldn't help themselves to fall head over heels for him and follow him just to have a piece of Choi Seungcheol.
