"Okay, so what is it that you want to talk about?" Seungcheol asked. "And be quick. My meeting starts at four."
Taerin took a breath and held it, counting to five to put out the annoyance that was reaching peek inside her head. It's not just his secretary who pissed the hell out of her but even this man is going under her nerves. She wants to strangle him to death right there and then.
Yet she doesn't care if she reached midnight on talking with him or making him not attend his meeting.
She crossed her arms and turned around. "This will be fast. You don't need to hurry." Her face looked pinched, she knew that, but she doesn't care.
"Then, start talking," Seungcheol said while standing at the door. He seems to be really in a hurry since he didn't have the time to sit down. Instead, he just lean on the door frame and then looked at his wristwatch before crossing his arms on his chest.
Gosh, this man.
She shifted her weight to her left foot. "It's about last time."
Taerin sighed upon thinking if she needs to tell him that personally. She could've called him. Right?
Too late, Taerin. You're here already.
"I... agree," she said pinching the bridge of her nose. Those words were really giving her enough headaches for a day.
"Please be more elaborate."
"I will marry you, okay!" she shouted. Her head is hurting more because of this annoying man trying to pretend not to know her intentions of coming there. She knew that Seungcheol knows why she is there in the first place. And he was playing with her head. His grin was telling her so. Damn it!
But she would not let him get away with it. If he's playing her, well, she would return the favor. Fifty times more! Let's see if he'll still grin when she says her words later.
She moved and sat on the couch then crossed her legs. She looked at Seungcheol again, still standing, smiling winningly.
She smirked. "But I have my own conditions, of course."
He's still grinning. "Okay. So you decided to carry on with the wedding but on your own terms? Are we on the same page?"
"Yes." She said, nodding. "Because it will be unfair if I just marry you just like that. I refused to be blackmailed into marriage, Mr. Choi. So I say, let's make a deal instead."
"Fair enough," He then agreed. "What are your terms then?"
What? Just like that? He will just agree with her? He's willing to go into a deal with her?
Taerin didn't see that coming. Well, let's see if this one will make your eyeballs pop!
She straightened her back even more and squared her shoulders, gathering her strength. "I want to work in the company," she announced forcefully.
But still, she didn't receive the reaction she was expecting from him. Instead, she watched him chuckle. "Taerin, I'm no medieval man. I won't stop you. If you want to work, fine. I don't have the heart to lock my wife inside our house." he said with his eyes dancing with amusement.
Fine. You can laugh for now. I'll surely erase that grin on your face!
She sighed again and crossed her arms over her chest. "It's just the first one on my list" She can't help but make her brows furrow. "Second. We will live separately."
"What?" Seungcheol stood straight, dumbfounded at her words.
She smirked. "Separate house, much better." Now, she felt much better. She's more than happy seeing Seungcheol's face darkened. Now, she finally wiped that stupid grin on his face.
