"If you kill me now, I will assure you this will reach Taerin. Wouldn't it break her heart to know her father was a thief and a fraud – a criminal - importantly, on his husband's own empire?"

Seungcheol's fist harshly slammed on his office table. He badly wanted to hit something – or someone just to take away the heaviness in his chest. All he could think about was what that bastard told him.

No. This couldn't be happening. He knows that Taerin's Dad is not that type of man. Eunwoo Kim was a good man and a loyal employee of his father and Seungcheol strongly believed he couldn't betray his father.

Jinwoon Shin was just playing a trick on his mind. He's using Taerin against him because he knew she's his weakness. But he still couldn't get rid of that sinking feeling in his stomach. He should not be too relaxed.

Damn bastard!

Feeling so frustrated, he rubbed a hand through his hair. He would really kill that old hag with his bare hands if he had a chance again.

A knock cut off his thinking. From his office door, his secretary came. "Sir, they're asking for you -" She stopped and paled when he turned around, glaring at her. "Uhm . . ."

"Call Jeonghan. Tell him to take over." He commanded.

"I will, Sir." Yura aptly answered and hurriedly went out of his office.

He leaned back down and turned to face his glass window, as he loosened his collar to breath. He felt constricted and dyspnoeic from all of his anger and his thoughts. The vein on his forehead was pulsing and his head was starting to throb, too.

From what he was seeing, he only has one option. And telling Taerin about what that asshole said was not an option. He doesn't care if that bastard threatens him and put him under tight pressure. He will face him head on.

But he won't let his wife to be hurt. He wouldn't let Jinwoon Shin tarnish the image she had about his father because he know that all of it is not true. So no matter what happen, he will protect Taerin. He would never hurt her.

He had to do something. He needs to stop Jinwoon Shin on what he is planning to do. But now, he has to get Taerin away from him.

Jinwoon Shin may have his cards up under his sleeves but he would never let him win. He is the King - he's not a Choi for nothing. He's more powerful than he is. He can crush and pull anybody down that would do bad on him and his family. He was named as a ruthless tycoon in business and because of that, he was feared.

To hell with that old rat!

He had no reason for him to be afraid of that dim-witted criminal. He's just an old man with a twisted brain and a rotten tail. He can protect his wife from him.

From the pocket of his Armani suit, he digs his phone and dialed Seungjae's number.
