Hilda had worked up a storm asking permission to stay over at Frida's. Now she has to do a week's worth of laundry. "Why weren't you two here yesterday?" David asks, taking a bite of his ham sandwich.

"Day off." Frida said, munching on her carrot.

"Together."

Frida nodded, David lightly shrugging before taking another bite. "Hilda, you need to eat."

"Too tired.." Hilda squeezed the witch, nuzzling her back.

Frida pat her knee, "Okay, but you need to eat before lunch ends."

David nodded to himself, "I'm not sure if the term is correct, but this is very..Fruity.." He waved his hand slowly.

Frida sat upright, "David--"

"I'm just saying." He defended. "Spoke my mind, didn't think."

Hilda was a bit confused, what the heck did fruity mean? "W..What does that mean?" Hilda asked.

"What does what mean?" David returned a question, catching the apple Frida threw.

"Fruity. I've never heard of it til now, all I know is the word fruit is in it. But that's now how you use the word is it?" Hilda lightly laughed.

Frida dragged her index finger against her lips, shaking her head slowly to David. He looked at Frida, with the most serious face, then cracked his knuckles. "It kind of means gay--"

"It's intended purpose was a slur, but it's taken rather lightly and as a compliment." Frida uttered.

Hilda nodded slowly, "Odd word but okay." Hilda shrugged. "What'd we do yesterday?"

"Nothing much, just got assigned another bloody project." David scowled. "I've already got my partner, those who were absent have to work together. In this case, it's you two."

Hilda smiled, "An excuse to hang out with Frida, this days already going great."

"And four other people." David continued.

Hilda blinked, slowly looking to David, "You couldn't have put that with the first sentence could you? Got my hopes up for nothing-- Don't make them separate us Frida-" She looked up at the witch with puppy eyes.

"A project is a project Hilda. We'll still have class together." Frida assured.

"It's a class project, we can't work on it at home."

Frida and Hilda glared at David, "You couldn't have said that earlier!?"

Hilda was luckily put with Frida. After whining to the teacher that they'd make such a great pair, and how you can't separate two perfect peas in a pod. "Worst project ever." Frida hissed quietly, setting her pencils down. "Why can't we just have this do its intended purpose??"

"Cause this is more fun." Hilda gently elbowed her. "A plastic Easter egg for practicing mother chicken. Perfect idea."

Frida frowned, "Unsanitary."

"Fun!" Hilda drew the egg, humming happily. "All this practice will make drawing easier."

Frida lowered her head, gently nudging Hilda, "Here please." Frida pointed to her cheek.

Hilda perked up, kissing her cheek quickly, "Make the motto please, the faster we get this done the less we have to worry about tommorow."

Frida pat her back, "Mhm. But don't worry, we still have a few days to work. It's not due so soon."

"I know, but I want to plan our next trip to the Lindworm." Hilda picked up a different colored pencil, darkening the shaded part of the egg.

"Didn't she say to bring her back seeds so we don't die?"

Hilda nodded, and grinned, "What a lovely beast. She's a funny one, I quite like the lindworm." Hilda hummed happily. "Only beast I've actually made a connection to."

"What about Raven? Or Tontu? Don't they count?" Frida asked, sketching out the next drawing for Hilda to color.

Hilda shook her head, then lightly shrugged. "Raven might count, he can do you know what. But Tontu doesn't, he's everywhere. Nisse can be found in homes, but Raven can't. Neither can the Lindworm. She's the only lindworm here."

Frida ohed, "Is that why you like her so much?"

"Hm?"

"Because you relate to her?"

Hilda tensed up, Frida glancing at her eyes, "Hilda?"

The bluenette shook her head, giving Frida a weak smile, "Was I really that obvious..?"

Frida sighed quietly, placing her hand on Hilda's shoulder, "A little. I know you miss your old life--"

"I'm happier here." Hilda cut in. "It's nice talking to humans for once.." Hilda held her hand out. "I love how they vary, just like trees!"

Frida smiled softly, taking Hilda's hand, "Just like trees."
