Nobody had come out to join the trolls, and frankly, it was best that they didn't. Because Ahlberg almost died. The King had grown tired, and nearly stepped on Ahlberg, several trolls near him holding up the king's foot. The humans were sent back, but Frida, Lindworm, Kaisa and Tildy remained to continue their re-ironing. Hilda gazed at Ahlberg, the officer glaring back.
Snorting softly, Hilda lied down, Frida turning slightly and holding her close. Hilda glanced down, kissing Frida's cheek, brushing back her hair, looking back to Ahlberg. He fell limp for a second, raising his head back up and groaning. Hilda huffed, bellowing lowly.
A troll stomped over, a bowl of water in hand. He held it out in front of Ahlberg, the officer leaning forward, chugging as much as he could before the rest dripped down his chin. Hilda lied her head down, stone reverting to skin as she nuzzled Frida's cheek. The witch groaned softly, her familiar brushing back her hair.
Frida slumped, drifting further into her dreams. Tildy walked over, Hilda raising her head, "We best be going now, the trolls have been ironed back together and Lindworm is resting."
Hilda looked to Ahlberg, Tildy sighing, "Thought so. But he's being restrained and taken care of. Frida needs a bed."
"Okay.." Hilda sighed, sliding her hands under Frida.
She carefully picked up her witch, glaring at Ahlberg as she slid off the rock. She followed Tildy out of the room, Kaisa quickly chasing after. Hilda kissed Frida's cheek, guiding her to nuzzle into the crook of the changeling's neck.
Frida shuddered as they stepped out of the cave into the sun, wishing for the cold to return. "My Frida. I love you, Frida." Hilda kissed her ear.
Being eased back into sleep, Frida relaxed, and dwelled further into her dreams.
----------------The next morning--------------
Wednesday.
Hilda sighed, relaxing in Frida's palm, the witch muttering softly as she wrote down notes. "Frida."
She and Hilda jumped, looking to Ms.Hallgrim, "Yes?"
"I hope you're doing this pair of notes." She tapped the board.
Frida rose a brow, "Why else would I be in this class if I'm not here to learn??" She picked up the book, showing it to Ms.Hallgrim. "Yes, I'm doing this pair of notes."
Hilda glared, Ms.Hallgrim keeping a hard stare before cowering and turning. "Moving on.."
Frida huffed, Hilda looking to her, 'Plan?'
'No, it's alright.' Frida pat Hilda's head.
Hilda exhaled sharply, lying her head back down, 'I did some reading.'
Frida glanced over, then at the board, 'Yeah? About what?'
'Changelings.'
Frida perked. 'Was it something bad?'
Hilda shook her head, 'Humans and Trolls haven't been known to become changeling's, the only cases are Baba and I.' Hilda yawned. 'But Kaisa said she'd try out some magic with me to see if I am not just a halfling but something else.'
Frida gently rubbed her back, Hilda sighing and relaxing, 'Today?'
'Yuuuppp. Mum is taking me out early cause Kaisa needs as much time with me as possible to fit her schedule.'
