Chapter Five

Artemis’s P.O.V 
It was the next day and before Breakfast started, I went to the Hospital Wing to check on my wrist, “just like I said, it’s fully healed dear. Just in time for your match later” she said with a smile before she let me go and I had gone straight to the Great Hall and looked for Draco before finally seeing him and sat down next to him and we both talked throughout breakfast before it was time for me to get ready for the match, “good luck Artemis.” Draco told me and I smiled a little, “thanks.” I said to him before walking away. By the time I was done, the Slytherin team met up before we had eventually flew onto the field as I was one of the Chasers and we had all formed a circle and waited for Madam Hooch, “the Players take their positions as Madam Hooch steps out onto the field to begin the game.” I heard someone say before Madam Hooch spoke up, “now I want a nice clean game from all of you.” she said to all of us before she had eventually began to game as some of us tried getting the bludger from Angelina before she scored before we eventually got the Quaffle and after one of us passed it over to Marcus, he eventually passed it to me as we flew towards the Gryffindor’s hoops and I tired to score before the Gryffindor Keeper managed to block it, “bloody git.” I said for Marcus and I to hear before flying away to continue on with the game before I noticed the Gryffindor Keeper had fallen to the ground and we finally managed to get a goal but when we did, I noticed a certain red head and realized that it was one of the Weasley’s as I didn’t take my eye’s off of him for a while before I noticed the Quaffle coming my way and I caught it before I managed to get another score as we were now tied with Gryffindor and after a while, we had found out that Harry had caught the Snitch and Gryffindor had won the game and I watched him as he held out the Snitch in his hand as everyone cheered for him as well before we all left the field and made our way back to the Castle.

By the time we had made it back to the Castle, I had decided to get changed out of my Quidditch Uniform before making my way back to the Common Room and just sat in front of the fire thinking about the game before I felt someone sit down next to me, “I think you did good.” he said and noticed that it was Draco and I smiled a little when I faced him, “I noticed Father was there to. He was sitting with the Teachers.” Draco said and my smile grew a little before we went to find father to see if he was still here until we eventually bumped into him in the halls, “you did well for your first Quidditch match.” Father told me and I smiled again and hugged him, “thanks father.” I said to him until Father had to leave and we had said goodbye before Draco and I had gone back to the Common Room for a while longer before we had left for the Great Hall for dinner that night and during the feast, I hadn’t eaten much since I felt bad that I was only able to score two goals for Slytherin, “Artemis. What’s wrong? Why aren’t you eating?” Draco asked me and I sighed a little, “I feel bad that I wasn’ able to score much earlier today.” I told him as I took a bite of my food, “well as far as I know, no one from the team is saying anything about it.” he told me, “he’s right you know. We think you did pretty good for a First Year. there are more games in the future that we could win.” Marcus said to me as I faced him and smiled a little as it made me feel a little better about it and we continued to talk and hang out during the rest of the feast before we all had to make our way back to the Common Room for the night but I decided to make my way to the Astronomy tower to clear my head before my head was filled with the red headed Weasley that I noticed earlier during the match and smiled a little but remembered what father and the others would say about them and it made me think whether or not they were actually true about them being blood traitors and after a while, I heard footsteps and turned to see that same Weasley, “you like to come here to?” he asked and I nodded, “I’m Fred. Fred Weasley.” he said and brought out his hand and after a moment I shook it, “I’m Artemis Malfoy.” I told him as we both sat down next to each other and just talked as we looked at the stars before we noticed that it was late and we both decided to go back to our Common Rooms for the night, “hope to see you again soon.” he told me causing me to smile, “I hope to see you again as well.” I said to him before we parted ways and I eventually made it back to the Slytherin Common Room for the night and eventually went to bed with a smile on my face.

Winter was here and the Christmas Holiday had finally arrived and both Draco and I were packing our things for when we head home and before I could leave with Draco, I bumped into Fred, “sorry.” I said to him, “no it’s fine, you don’t have to be sorry. I have something for you.” Fred said handing me something and I opened it to see that they were sweets and I smiled, “thank you. But I didn;t get anything for you.” I said to him, “don’t worry about it. You didn’t need to.” he told me, smiling a little, “Merry Christmas.” I said to him, “Merry Christmas.” he replied before we went our separate ways, “what was that all about? Why are you talking to Weasley?” Draco asked me, sounding disgusted, “is talking to him a bad thing?” I questioned, “maybe to father it might. You know what they think about them.” Draco said to me and I sighed as we made it out of the Castle, “I know, but they're not as bad once you get to know them. I went for a walk one night to clear my head and we both talked to each other on the Astronomy tower and he made me laugh.” I told him and continued to talk about it until we made it to the train and got on, “please don’t tell mother and father about it please. I don’t want them to start something.” I told him and he sighed, “alright fine. I won’t say anything to them, but I’m only doing it for you.” Draco said as we sat down and I smiled as we continued to talk.

By the time we had finally made it home for the Holidays, both Draco and I spent our time laughing and hanging out and on Christmas day, we both had gotten up early that morning not long before mother and father had walked in as well and we eventually opened presents and had fun throughout the entire Christmas Holiday until we had to go back to Hogwarts for the rest of the school year and when that time was nearing, both Draco and I packed our trunks again and made sure we had everything we had brought with us before Father had taken us to King Cross and the both of us eventually got on and sat with both Crabbe and Goyal the entire time and talked about how our Holidays were before we had made it back to Hogwarts.
