Forbidden Lover

Chapter Two

Artemis’s P.O.V
It was finally the day Draco and I leave for Hogwarts and I was getting excited as well as I made sure that I had everything that I needed before heading downstairs to see that Draco and our parents were already waiting, “finally. You took bloody forever.” Draco said to me, “shut up. I was making sure I had everything.” I told him, “both of you settle down now and let's get going. We don’t don’t want to be late for the train.” Father said to us and we finally left the house and eventually arrived at the train station before we stopped in front of a wall pillar, “why are we stopping here?” Draco asked before our father rushed through it and Draco and I just looked at each other with wide eyes, “well that answers it then” Draco said before running through the wall and I looked at mother, “together” she said and I smiled before we both rushed through the wall only to see a train that said Hogwarts Express on it and see everyone around us hugging each other and saying their goodbyes before we found Draco and father after we had given my things to one of the workers, “now you two be good and have fun alright.” Mother said to us and we both nodded, “make sure you both do your school work alright.” Father said and we nodded again before we had finally gotten on the train and looked until we found somewhere to sit before seeing two others approach, “can we sit here.” the bigger one asked, “yeah sure.” Draco said to him, “I’m Goyal and this is Crabbe. You are?” Goyal said to us, “I’m Draco and this is my sister Artemis.” Draco told them and the four of us continued to talk throughout the entire train ride before the train had stopped.

By the time we all started getting off the train all of us that were in first year followed a tall man before we all got on boats before they started going toward a large Castle and I just looked at it in awe as my excitement grew and by the time we got there, we all got off the boats and made our way inside, we all tried to find the Great Hall before being stopped by an older woman after walking up some stairs, “Welcome to Hogwarts. Now, in a few moments you will pass through these doors and join your classmates. But before you can take your seats, you must be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Now while you’re here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn you points. Any rule-breaking and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the House Cup.” she told everyone before a boy spoke up, “Trevor.” he said, grabbing the frog that was on the ground before she continued, “the sorting ceremony will begin momentarily.” she said before walking away, “it’s true then, what they’re saying on the train. Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts.” Draco said to him, “it looks like they are true.” I spoke up before everyone started whispering, “this is Crabbe and Goyle. And I’m Malfo, Draco Malfoy and this is my sister Artemis.” Draco introduced us before hearing someone laugh a little and saw that it was a boy with red hair, “think our name is funny do you? I’ve no need to ask yours. Red hair and a hand-me-down robe? You must be a Weasley. You’ll soon find out that some Wizarding Families are better than others Potter. You don’t want to go making friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there.” Draco said as he held out his hand to Harry but he didn’t take it, “I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks.” Harry said before the woman came back and tapped on Draco’s back and I pulled him back, “we’re ready for you now. Follow me.” she said to us and we had done what she said. 

By the time we made it into the Great Hall, it was already filled with people as they were all sitting down at the tables and we made it to the front of the room where all of the teachers were, “will you wait along here please. Now, before we begin Professor Dumbledore would like to say a few words.” she said to us before Professor Dumbledore stood up from his seat, “I have a few start-of-term notices I would wish to announce. The first years please note that the Dark Forest is strictly forbidden to all students. Also, our caretaker, Mr. Filch has asked me to remind you that the third floor corridor on the right hand side is out of bounds to everyone who does not wish to die a most painful death. Thank you.” he said to us before sitting back down, “when I call your name, you will come forth. I shall place the Sorting Hat on your head and you will be sorted into your houses. Hermione Granger.” she said and Hermione walked up and sat down, “ah, right then. Ok, Gryffindor.” the hat said and Hermione went to sit down, “Artemis Malfoy.” she said and I went up to sit down, “Mmm yes, not a bad mind and very shy. There is plenty of talent also and a will to prove yourself. Slytherin.” The hat said and I smiled before I went to sit down at the Slytherin table, “Draco Malfoy.” the woman said and he had done the same thing, “Slytherin.” The hat said as soon as it was placed on his head and he came and sat down next to me before the Sorting Ceremony continued. After it was over and everyone had sat down at their house table, Dumbledore had spoken up again, “let the feast begin.” he said and food appeared on the tables and eventually, ghosts started to fly around the large room and I laughed a little as I continued eating and talking with Draco.

After the feast was over, everyone had left the Great Hall and we had walked with the rest of the Slytherins as we followed them to the Common Room and by the time we had gotten there, someone had said the password before a portrait was opened to let us in and everyone walked into the room and I looked around before finding somewhere to sit before Draco sat down next to me along with Crabbe and Goyale as we continued to hang out and have a few laughs and all I hoped that we have a good year without any trouble with anyone, “how are you liking it so far?” Draco asked, “I love it. I’m just glad we’re in the same house.” I told him, “me to” he said and we both smiled before we both agreed to write to our parents about being sorted into Slytherin as well before we all decided to go to bed for the night and I had made it to my dorm along with a few other girls before we had gotten changed for the night and went to bed after the three of us had gotten to know each other as well and I had fallen asleep with a smile on my face.
