Chapter Forty: Order of the Phoenix

Artemis’s P.O.V
It was finally the day that I will be going to Sirius’s place and going with the other’s to get Harry and I was planning on using the Floo Network from my room to Sirius since it was tall enough for me to stand in and soon, Draco came in the room, “I was just about to leave.” I told him, “alright, I’ll make sure mother and father don’t suspect anything alright. If they do, I’ll just tell them that you decided to go flying for a while.” he said and I nodded, “alright. Thank you for covering for me. I know you didn’t want to, considering I’m helping Harry and whatnot.” I told him and we both chuckled a little, “I know, but you’re my sister and I’m helping you, not him. That’s the only reason.” he told me and I smiled a little, “before I go, please don’t bother him when school starts up again. He’s been through enough already knowing that no one is believing him about Voldemort.” I told him, “I’ll try, but there will be no promises.” he told me and I sighed a little, “well, it was worth a try.” I said and we hugged each other, “be careful.” he whispered to me, “don’t worry, I’ll be fine. I’ve been helping Harry with this stuff and as you can see, I’m still kicking.” I told him as we moved away from the hug, “I see your point, but go on before mother or father see you leaving.” he told me and I stood in the fireplace and said where I needed to go before I ended up at Sirius’s home and looked around to find the others only to see them sitting in the kitchen as they talked and once I walked in, they all looked at me as I stood there, “hi.” I said to them, “glad you could make it Artemis. Everyone here knows that you will be helping.” Sirius said and I smiled a little, “how are you feeling Professor Moody?” I asked him, “I’m better. Considering that I’m not your professor anymore, there’s no need to call me Professor. But I would like to thank you for helping.” he said and I nodded, “no problem.” I told him before we talk about how we would be getting Harry before we finally left and I was talking with Tonks since the both of us happened to be cousins and we both had a few chuckles before Moody told us to stay in formation.

By the time we finally got there, we noticed that his Aunt and Uncle weren’t there and we soon managed to get inside the house and looked around before finding a room that happened to be locked before Tonks managed to get the door opened, “very clean, these Muggles.” she told us, “Tonks, for god's sake.” Moody said to her before she shown her light inside the room before seeing Harry standing there, “hi Harry.” I said to him, “Professor Moody. Artemis. What are you doing here?” he said to us, “rescuing you, of course.” Moody told him and I smiled a little before we managed to get outside, “but where are we going? The letter said that I’ve been expelled from Hogwarts.” Harry mentioned to Moody, “you haven’t been. not yet. Kingsley, you take point.” Moody said as we made it to the curb, “but the letter said-” Harry began to say before Kingsley cut him off, “Dumbledore persuaded the Minister to suspend your expulsion, pending a formal hearing.” Kingsley said to Harry, “a hearing?” Harry questioned, “believe me, I’m just as surprised as you are.” I told him, “don’t worry Harry. We’ll explain everything when we get back to Headquarters.” Tonks told him, “not here, Nymphadora.” Moody told her, “don’t call me Nymphadora.” she said to Moody as her hair changed color, “I like you. I will never understand why our mothers hate each other.” I told her before our brooms appeared as we caught them, “stay in formation, everyone. Don’t break ranks if one of us is killed.” Moody said to everyone before we flew off and eventually flew above London and both Tonks and I moved out of the way of the boat as we continued to fly. We eventually made it back to Sirius’s place and we waited for a garbage truck to drive by and once it was out of view, we all soon stood in the middle of the street and once Moody tapped his staff a few times, the duplex apartments split to soon show another before letting Harry go inside first, “in you go son.” Moody said to Harry before he walked over and walked inside and eventually the rest of us walked inside as well and saw Harry in the middle of the hall and I stood next to Harry, “everything alright?” I asked him and he nodded, “yeah, I’ll be alright.” he said before we looked into the kitchen as Sirius noticed Harry and so did Lupin before Mrs. Weasley stood in the middle, “Harry” she said to him, “Mrs. Weasley.” he replied, “heavens, you’re alright.” she said before hugging Harry, “thank you for helping Artemis. Fred is upstairs if you want to go and see him dear.” she said and I smiled a little and went upstairs to find Fred before seeing him in one of the rooms with George, “Freddie.” I called him before he noticed me and he soon stood up and rushed over to me before picking me up and spinning me around and I giggled as I hugged back before he set me down, “I missed you too.” I said to him before he kissed me, “if you’re going to do that, make sure no one else is in the room first.” we heard George say to us and we both laughed a little before we hung out for a bit before hearing Harry and both Fred and George disappeared from the room and I let out a sigh before seeing where Ginny was and hung out with her for a bit before hearing the other’s in the hall and went to see what they were doing before listening on the conversation that the Order was having before noticing Crookshanks and tried to get him to stay away before he eventually ate it and finally decided to go downstairs, “well, we’ll be eating down in the Kitchen.” Mrs. Weasley said to us before seeing Fred and George pop up behind her causing her to jump a little, “just because you’re allowed to use Magic now, does not mean you have to whip your wands out for everything.” She said to them and I laughed a little before I followed them into the kitchen, “she’ll have your heads if you keep that up.” I said to Fred, “but it’s worth it in the end” Fred said before we both sat down at the table. 

After a moment, everyone had sat down and I sat with George and Fred and the three of us talked before the room went quiet, “I don’t understand. What does the Ministry of Magic have against me?” we heard Harry ask, “show him. He’ll find out soon enough.” Moody said before Kingsley gave Harry the paper, “he’s been attacking Dumbledore as well. Fudge is using all his power, including his influence at the Daily Prophet to smear anyone who claims the Dark Lord has returned.” Sirius said, “even my father has been denying anything about him as well. He’s also been saying that Harry is lying about the whole thing and the Minister believes him. I’ve been overhearing his conversations with my mother.” I said to them, “why?” Harry asked, “the Minister thinks Dumbledore is after his job.” Lupin told him, “but that’s insane. No one in their right mind could believe that Dumbledore-” Harry tried to say before Lupin cut him off, “exactly the point. Fudge isn’t in his right mind. It’s been twisted and warped by fear. Now, fear makes people do terrible things, Harry. The last time Voldemort gained power he almost destroyed everything we hold most dear. Now he’s returned, and I'm afraid the Minister will do almost anything to avoid facing that terrifying truth.” Lupin said to Harry before Sirius spoke up, “we think Voldemort wants to build up his army again. Fourteen years ago, he had huge numbers at his command. And not just Witches and Wizards, but all manner of Dark Creatures. He’s been recruiting heavily, and we’ve been attempting to do the same. But gathering followers isn’t the only thing he’s interested in. We believe Voldemort may be after something, more than one thing in particular. Something he didn’t have last time.” Sirius said to Harry, “you mean, like a weapon?” Harry asked, “no. That's enough. He’s just a boy. You say much more and you might as well induct him into the Order straight away.” Mrs. Weasley said, “good, then I want to join. If Voldemort is raising an army, then I want to fight.” Harry said and I smiled a little before Mrs. Weasley continued with cooking dinner and I helped her with some of it as well, “he was talking about me as well wasn’t he. Sirius?” I asked her in a whisper and she sighed, “I’m afraid so dear. I presume you already know why.” she said and I nodded, “yeah I do.” I told her as we continued until we were done and we all ate. Later on, I realized that it was getting late and I had decided to go home before mother or father started to suspect where I was, “I got to go Freddie. I’ll see you at school alright.” I told him, kissing his cheek, “alright love. See you then and be careful until then alright.” he said and I nodded and started saying goodbye to everyone before making it back home.

I made it back into my room to see that no one was there and I let out a sigh and put my broom away before hearing a knock on the door and I quickly cleaned myself up before speaking up, “come in.” I said before the door opened to see that it was Draco and I sighed in relief, “what took you so long? Mother and father were starting to suspect.” he told me, “sorry, I didn’t think it would take so long.” I told him before the both of us talked about it for a while before seeing mother walk up to the door, “hello dear, how was flying. Draco told us earlier, saying that you wanted to do so to clear your head.” she said and I nodded, “yeah, I’ve also been feeling off as well recently too. Do you think it might be this power coming around?” I said to her, “most likely. But I know it might show in more ways than one.” she told me and I nodded, “well, if you’re hungry, there’s food downstairs alright.” she told me and I smiled a little, “thanks mum.” I told her before she kissed my forehead and left the room and both Draco and I continued to hang out for a while before we both got tired and he soon left my room and I decided to get changed after taking a shower and cleaned up before going to bed thinking to myself before falling asleep
